05/12/2024 09:12 | Anyone see good value here. Come back a long way but is it time to buy? Any holders with views? | its the oxman
05/4/2018 18:32 | New highs nearly every day now. I also hold VOF and VEIL but this has been outperforming them for a long time now. Maybe when more unlisted companies start to float they will catch up with XFVT. KT. | killing_time
06/2/2018 07:24 | Vietnam market down 5%. Thought it might of been worse, but supose its not over yet until US market decides what it going to do. | killing_time
05/2/2018 20:09 | Dam, think I jumped the gun here, Dow now down over 900 points :-( | killing_time
05/2/2018 19:08 | Picked up a lot more of these today. Really over weight in Vietnam now, just waiting for the day when they go from frontier market to emerging market. Think the futures really bright for Vietnam. KT. | killing_time
14/1/2018 15:24 | Bought a load of these at the start of the year to go with my holding of VOF. This tracks the Vietnam stock market closely where as VOF has more holdings in unlisted companies. Last year the Vietnam stock market was up about 50% as was XFVT. VOF was only up by about 25% because of the unlisted companies and cash holdings. VOF will come into its own when these companies start to float ie it holds about 9% in the Vietnam Airports group which if its floats will be more positive on VOF than XFVT. To say which one is best is like tossing a coin. Probably best to hold both, just my view KT. | killing_time

15/10/2010 13:17 | Three currency devaluations since last November, weak economy spells weak currency, lack of inward investment, inflation, fear of hyper inflation, but that said a country with much promise over the next 20 years. Somebody has to pick up the crumbs from China as it moves up the manufacturing ladder. VOF picking up slightly lately which should be a yard stick. My company trades a little with VNam and my daughter is out there now. Watch out for explosion in tourism out there. A little investment focuses the mind particularly on currency plays.DYOR T | turbomouth
15/10/2010 11:47 | yes i see your post, i dont hold, sold in june, small profit if memory serves me. Im shocked how bad its doing since. Why do you think that is turbomouth? | envirovision
15/10/2010 11:32 | Just started to accumulate. Have been wanting to buy into this market for a long time. With a weaker dollar and a recent devaluation of the dong now seems to be a good time to start. Anybody out there? | turbomouth
