SG1972- it was thought some time ago that XEL would be happy to accept a take-over at about £5. Obviously that hasn't happened.
They have a 'poison pill' clause in place to deter low ball offers.

jcd1972, leedskier is correct. The contracts will be signed next year after FDP approval by DECC. The MOUs in place are as good as.

I also have a weird feeling we might see some kind of RAR update before long. Just a feeling, not coming from the man with the strange dog.

All will be revealed I suspect before Oilbarrel.

I agree, probably first quarter for FDP submission, approval and final contract signatures from Bentley Partners.

MOU is not enough. You must have a proper funding & operational plan in place before submitting the FDP leedskier. You should know that by now.

The conversion of MOU to contracts will probably not take place ahead of DECC approval, unless made conditional on DECC approval. In which case why bother?

Mike - what is the big RNS you're anticipating? Converting MOUs to contracts? FDP submission? Definitely see that as Q1 2015 now. Hopefully get some II interest at Oil Barrel & good news from Osborne on 3/12.
