30/9/2010 13:54 | Topped up with some more, I think the Investor Day is this coming Tuesday, might bring about some reassuarance. | simon gordon
30/9/2010 06:07 | Interview with Ken Lever: Finanacial Director - 27/9/10 Now, at Xchanging, there will be more different requirements. Lever says the business needed to import experience to help with its development as a listed company – it has been criticised for its approach to accounting, something Lever is well placed to address – and to make sure its strategic focus is where it needs to be. Certainly, business process outsourcing is growing in popularity as FDs look for more ways to cut the cost of operating. | simon gordon
29/9/2010 19:39 | "cheers"... how did you know i had a beer on the go?! (celebrating more than a few quid made short the markets this last hour!) | wcjan26
29/9/2010 15:58 | W, I've got my eye on MCHL, waiting to see how the CSR on the 20th pans out. Will read the HYC thread to see what is cooking! Cheers... | simon gordon
29/9/2010 15:55 | there's lots of discussion by the way on consolidation in engineering on the HYC thread - from late june posts onwards. not in there at the mo, waiting an entry | wcjan26
29/9/2010 15:48 | has to break 160 resistance first i may re-enter at 140 if it backtests that simon- i have sells flashing all over the market, so wary apart from special situations (TRB, XEL, IRV are core holdings though i have top-sliced latter two) support services / engineering is by far the best potential for takeover activities - such a massive discount on many stocks factoring in annihilation in the spending review... including a stack of stocks (HYC,MCHL) which have very limited profits from UK and big emerging mkt opps. The deal flow in the sector is intense - generally has been private companies (at exit mults 2-3 * quoted sector multiples) - but not many independents left and so the quoted sector next? there are so many potential competing buyers all trying to build global practices to tap in to the next major wave of global infrastructure development | wcjan26
28/9/2010 15:32 | I was thinking it could spike to 180p in a squeeze and then trade in a range between 160p and 180p until they land a chunky order in 2011. | simon gordon
28/9/2010 15:31 | Stock on loan has actually gone up since the new CFO was announced, still plenty of juice in this.... | simon gordon
28/9/2010 15:27 | looks like a short squeeze......... | bigboss777
28/9/2010 14:43 | W, Well done. I'm sticking with it a bit longer. TRB is moving pretty slowly, what shares are you hot on right now? Have you looked at GRT as a takeover opportunity? | simon gordon
28/9/2010 13:48 | closed long for now | wcjan26
27/9/2010 09:27 | as i keep saying no director allows family to buy 2 million£ worth of shares if they think there is something wrong with the company. on the other hand at that point there can not have been any takover proposals as that would be inside trading! | ![]() haroldthegreat
24/9/2010 14:43 | nice breakout, reasonable volume and no sign of shorts closing in numbers- so maybe a squeeze to come just needs a bit of good news before the bell monday to light the fire | wcjan26
24/9/2010 07:57 | Tsigloroh, Capita buying XCH is a possibilty, with a Director buying shares yesterday it looks a distant prospect. XCH would be a great move for Capita as they'd become Global. I suppose it's such a strategic asset that 250p to 280p would be achievable. Here's hoping, nice upside catalyst if it happened, just shows why it's nuts to short here. | simon gordon
24/9/2010 07:45 | joined you guys and gals in the nick of time wait for the bid simon but dyor as u do | tsigoloroh
24/9/2010 06:49 | Tsigoloroh, What are you on about? | simon gordon
24/9/2010 06:41 | Bid Talks with Capital - YEAHAAAAAAA!!!! | tsigoloroh
23/9/2010 19:12 | Now we just need a small contract win to keep the momentum up to make sure it stays above 140p... | warbrook
23/9/2010 18:24 | its gonna be candy | ![]() dnfa1975
23/9/2010 18:23 | dnfa- do you have access to my spreadbet account?! that's exactly where i just moved my sell limit to! | wcjan26
23/9/2010 18:21 | 167p on the way | ![]() dnfa1975
23/9/2010 18:02 | another director 50k purchase. they might short but they might need imodium if the price rises | ![]() haroldthegreat
23/9/2010 18:01 | excellent - more insiders buying - £90k, not to be sniffed at and he is in charge of CSR ! | wcjan26
23/9/2010 14:56 | lol. i wonder if they'll ask for 'East London's most feared short seller' when they phone him up with his margin call i would enjoy that discussion ... | wcjan26
23/9/2010 14:51 | "Lucian Miers is East London's most feared short seller" I suppose all the more impressive titles were already gone! I wonder if he's East London's only short seller? | ![]() b1ggles |
