09/6/2006 19:53 | ok then Captain... look away now if you want a nice w.end this is Dow as at close yesterday. I rekon that reversal yesterday on the line chart was dodgy but hey ho (see Kozel's post a while back about conspiracy theory) | edwood19
09/6/2006 19:53 | if anyone is stuck for a simple system to keep them on the right side of the action...look no further than the 40 MA on the 10 minute chart above bottom of header buy or sell breaks of the first high or low after price crosses of the moving average...with a stop above or below the previous high/low to the entry.. trail your position moving stops just above each high or low it makes in the continuing trend.. or .. keep locking in profit when it moves the same distance as your original stop.. would have paid good dividends thhese last few weeks for an extra filter add a macd with smooth setting and only buy if its above zero and sell if its below.. might stop some of the whipsaws... | leeshindig

09/6/2006 19:38 | lol Captain! there are lots of shockers for all the indices but I'm finding (edited) the P&F's are too slow moving - interesting to look at and good for a wind-up ;-] you've probably seen the Dow one on livecharts anyway which showed a couple of nice features - don't want to spoil your weekend Captain! | edwood19
09/6/2006 19:32 | Blimey! how could i leave ed out of that list the guy who gave me sleepless nights with his p+f charts Course you can ed ... take it away mate | captain.

09/6/2006 19:25 | Exactly lee That`s why i brought it up , the whole boards divided into camps since the CA and Mad rift, no debate , discussion , views .It was a good thread and by the way so is your site , difficult to understand when you look at what`s going on in the REAL world why people get so involved. Anyway here`s to a truce and the return of the old posters CA , HP , Easytimes, Sea+sky , Joe Moon, Amarshak , spec , Kozel , tpb , yourself and all the others that gave this thread credabilty Remember you`re a long time dead , give a rest and get on with it | captain.

09/6/2006 10:16 | or just been reading a suggestion that the sharp sell off and reversal yesterday could be the low based on the pattern of the last 4 year low. | ![]() holts
09/6/2006 08:06 | if this is the start of a drive to a four year cycle low , we have a long way to go. | ![]() holts
08/6/2006 23:40 | Ok, thanks. | ![]() kozel
08/6/2006 23:39 | I was refering to his, what looked like a, 5 wave move up prior to the May 10th top. waves 4 and 1 overlap. he also suggests we will now see a 5 wave up move, which I guess is possible as part of an A wave, but not likely to see it making 11,400+ as his chart seems to suggest. | wall2wall
08/6/2006 23:03 | He wasn't far wrong though. He wrote on the Tuesday that it should retrace back up to the 38.2%/neck line area, which he had at 11,092. On Wednesday it tried to get back up there, achieving 11,071. So he was only 20 or so points out. He also said it should then test the 61.8% fib level, which he had as 10,736 & today, Thursday, It reached 10,758. So again he was only 20 or so points out. I don't know a lot about EW, only the very basics, but it can't be that exact a science. To be 20 points out or thereabouts seems pretty good to me. Maybe this was supposed to happen over a longer timeframe? | ![]() kozel
08/6/2006 22:38 | Steve, you need some lessons in Elliott by the look of that chart! | wall2wall
