Agreed which do you prefer?

I've traded ETF's, CFD's and spread bets on gold but the gearing is so enormous on the latter I can't recommend it.

The ETFS Short Gold Exchange-Traded Commodity ("ETC") is intended to change daily by the inverse of the daily percentage change in the DJ-AIG Gold Sub-Index. Therefore if the DJ-AIG Gold Sub-Index falls (or rises) by 1% in a day, the ETFS Short Gold will rise (or fall) by 1%.

The indicators are that between now and the summer gold will move down. The dollar is at the point of recovering from it's current oversold state and that is bad for gold prices. But I think the dollar will go down again under the weight of new dollars that the Fed will be busy printing to try and keep the US economy from going under water. That means rising inflation and that will be good for gold. But until then I will be buying shorts on gold.
