28/6/2024 10:25 | Goodness. Don't know whether to stick or twist here these days.. | linz22
30/4/2024 21:01 | A quick 30% today. Absolutely silly. It seems manual traders have already booked profits and are out after margin calls, but trading algorithms took over this morning self perpetuating the sharp fall as they all received sell signals. All depends how much it recovers now. Nigeria increased exports, though the underlying story hasn't changed. | 3ootuk
30/4/2024 10:12 | HL closed trading for a while due to a disorderly market, and sell price higher than buy price | 3ootuk
30/4/2024 09:09 | Yet, conditions for shortage in cocoa production still prevail.. Ironic. ..or, a godsend of a buying opportunity..? | linz22
30/4/2024 07:09 | News that exchanges are asking for more margin to hold positions, so many longs have closed. | 3ootuk
30/4/2024 02:36 | Hmm, that's a huge fall at the end of the day. What gives..? | linz22

25/3/2024 17:29 | Many thanks for your post on other boards Daveas, I'm only here since that. | 3ootuk
25/3/2024 16:23 | Been in since feb if you do research you will find 70% cocoa comes from ivory coast and ghana where the processors have either stopped or reduced capacity to 20% due to poor bean harvest, smuggling,ro | daveas
25/3/2024 15:39 | A few commentators saying it's reached fair value, but that these things tend to overshoot and could go stupidly higher as speculation takes over with fomo. | 3ootuk
25/3/2024 14:47 | I wish I had been instead of watching it go up.Will now chance a small amount. | trewsa
22/3/2024 19:54 | Anyone else still following this given this years shortages? | 3ootuk
28/3/2013 07:56 | no buy signals yet for me... can't make over the monthly pivot so its a wait for me. | mcbeanburger
27/3/2013 16:20 | Just starting to look at Cocoa vehicles. This looks pretty good. Anyone know of any better ways to get exposure? | stuart14
24/9/2012 21:16 | hi hec - trust you are well. coccoa taking a break right now... buy point is coming or daily trend change. i will wait for the signal. sugar still on formal downtrend. higher low is in but needs a few ma's to switch sides before i'll get interested. | mcbeanburger
24/9/2012 15:32 | It has come up a fair bit recently McBean, but look at the hight of year 2011 chart! over $40. Close watch for me. I think SUGA should take off next 1-2 months it usually does, but if Cocoa takes off, the rise would be stronger. H. | hectorp
31/8/2012 08:50 | zzzzzzzzzzzzz quiet fred given the latest movements.... still got some upside me thinks. (thanks rivot for the intro) | mcbeanburger
31/3/2011 14:33 | Played this one last year; time to consider it again, economically and politically. | gramsci
12/10/2009 14:50 | Well ... quite a few people have missed out on this one, and there's more to come. | andrewbaker
03/7/2009 15:49 | My thoughts for now are long cocoa, precious metals, agricultural softs (eg: grains), short industrial metals, and I've taken a flyer on leveraged long natural gas. I'm also short US financials, the S&P 500 and the FTSE. As things stand right now, I do not think we'll be having a recovery any time soon in the general economy, here, in the US or anywhere alse. Maybe longer term emerging markets may be good. That reminds me, I'm long Australia for both currency and the economy. | andrewbaker
25/6/2009 21:28 | Thanks for that. I have a few ETF's on my list to follow, including this one, and will now have a closer look. No, you're not talking to yourself :) | peetrader
25/6/2009 14:41 | With the problems facing cocoa producing, popularity of chocolate (though quality chocolate temporarily losing out to cheap and supermarket brands)and the shortages to come resulting from disease and drought, now is the time to take a long position, particularly as prices are down from their highs. I may just be talking to myself here. | andrewbaker
18/5/2009 15:14 | Anyone trading this, long or short? | andrewbaker
26/6/2008 16:48 | Best performing ETF this month. | davebowler
10/4/2008 14:57 | New Leveraged Exchange Traded Commodity fund giving 2x exposure to cocoa price. Good? I should cocoa! | davebowler |
