09/11/2016 02:13 | DOW has now been 18042. | nasdaqpat
09/11/2016 02:01 | Virginia also still interesting...DOW 18220 low for night! | nasdaqpat
09/11/2016 01:51 | Trump could be picking up Florida, markets tumbling, FTSE6823 Futures...getting exciting! | nasdaqpat
08/11/2016 21:56 | I'm 100% invested actually. Brave going in to this election I think. If I do buy it will be adding new money to my portfolio. | invisage
08/11/2016 21:53 | Gateside, In the interests of mutual transparency, it would be useful if you could list all 24 of your companies again? I listed our 59 companies on 03 Nov and have since Added VUKE. I also have 13 companies that we previously owned listed in a Reserve monitor and may wish to Re-Buy at a later date:- BMS, BRCI, HAS, HSBA, KGF, PAG, SDP, SGLN, SL., SNR, SXS, TUI & VLK. We also own a small amount of GWPH in a TD Direct account but do not consider this to be part of our portfolio. | nasdaqpat
08/11/2016 21:44 | Thx for that...I'm all for full disclosure! Including BP, ADM, LGEN & CARD that makes 35 companies then? Sounds like to me that you are fairly fully invested. My guess would be a stock level of about 90% with 10% cash. Is that about right? | nasdaqpat
08/11/2016 20:53 | nasdaq correct I held MKS, PCT and MNKS. The latter two were momentum trades. I dumped PCT on 11th Oct at 847.5p, that was pure luck. On this day the price spiked and the heavy discount narrowed. Since that time PCT has come off a lot as well as the FANG stocks. I dumped RPC on 17/10 to lock in profits and put the proceeds into SCH. I dumped LSE on 18/10 to lock in profits, that has also come off since. On the 20th Oct I dumped SHP, RLX, CRDA, HLMA, WPP and NXT. Quite a bit of turnover of the portfolio, most of these are Dollar earners. I was simply raising cash to buy the Global and FTSE tracker. 21.7% of my portfolio consists of the global tracker and 4.4% consists of FTSE 100 tracker. Where possible I am going to look to raise weighting in the trackers - the view is to simply hold these and let the market do it's thing. I should add I also hold a large slug of BP and some ADM, LGEN, CARD all for yield. That is full disclosure of all my holdings actually. At the right price I would'nt mind buying back these companies - they are all very good businesses : SHP, RLX, CRDA, HLMA, WPP and NXT | invisage
08/11/2016 20:35 | From polling in Florida, rumours are that Clinton has won the State. DOW seems to be heading up as a result. | gateside
08/11/2016 19:13 | That's more like it, Invisage...nice bit of transparency (Posts 9146 & 9147)! Didn't you Buy MKS a few weeks back (Post 8923)? Did you smell a rat and get rid before results? Also, what happened to PCT and MNKS? | nasdaqpat
08/11/2016 19:12 | Interesting how portfolios can be so different. The only three shares we have in common are: ABF, BMS & GSK | gateside
08/11/2016 18:47 | Luckily I sold out of CRDA and SHP a few weeks ago before the drop. That was just pure luck, and having said that I am considering buying back at these levels. I am also watching SGE, AZN and more GSK. | invisage
08/11/2016 18:45 | 16 down, 15 up, overall up though. UP : ABF, EZJ, WIZZ, DLG, IGG, BATS, DTG, WWH, SWDA, VUKE, GSK, RB., DOM, LLOY, IVI Down : RMV, SCT, SKG, SCH, BVIC, ITV, BAG, SN., BKG, NICL, STOB, BMS, CRST, CMCX, GENL, IMB | invisage
08/11/2016 16:51 | Modestly* under performed FTSE100 today with junior FTSE100 constituents, midcaps & smallcaps trailing heavyweight Miners & Oils and some defensives. Overall, we had 32 Shares Up, 24 Down and 4 Unchanged. Stock level increased to 60.4% following a further Add to VUKE. *key Slightly Under/Over performed = +/- 0.1% of portfolio against FTSE100 par; Modestly Under/Over performed = +/- 0.2% of portfolio against FTSE100 par; Moderately Under/Over performed = +/- 0.3% of portfolio against FTSE100 par; Significantly Under/Over performed = +/- 0.4% or more of portfolio against FTSE100 par. | nasdaqpat
08/11/2016 16:45 | 15 up. Excellent performance from ABF and miners, and good day from utilities. 2 level.7 down. | gateside
08/11/2016 08:53 | ABF is the star for me today | invisage
07/11/2016 22:14 | Stock level is 73.1% | gateside
07/11/2016 19:37 | 2 flat, 5 down and 24 up | invisage
07/11/2016 19:34 | Very good day for me tooo....Loads of up but amongst the best were my global and FTSE trackers. Just need a Clinton win. | invisage
07/11/2016 18:50 | My portfolio cannot compete with yours when Sterling goes down...strong rises from Miners, Oils, Pharma & HSBA are always going to give you the edge. What percentage of your portfolio is now in cash and what percentage of your portfolio (cash included) covers the above sectors? | nasdaqpat
07/11/2016 17:33 | Good day. Very good in fact.20 up, with 2 level and 2 (utilities) down. | gateside
07/11/2016 16:37 | Moderately under performed FTSE100 today with smaller companies faring less well than larger ones. Overall, we had 49 Shares Up, 7 Down and 4 Unchanged. Stock level ticked up to 58.6%. | nasdaqpat
07/11/2016 13:49 | HSBA will be helping you...I nearly bought back last week but decided against it as investing 6.5% of our portfolio in trackers would have included an element of HSBA + other Banks. Overall, we are a little bit under at the moment with sharpish falls on AEG & BOO albeit currently only 5 Down out of 60. | nasdaqpat
07/11/2016 13:35 | Nice start to week. 20 out 24 shared in portfolio are up. And a few up +2% so far. | gateside
06/11/2016 23:17 | Yes, still a chance of a secondary bolt-on then starting from Friday's 6677...just as well I over traded with all those Buys & Adds last week. LOL! | nasdaqpat |
