23/3/2023 12:01 | When is the PUOSU for Apollo? | angus mcoatup
23/3/2023 09:03 | Apollo likely to come up with a hostile final bid to be put to shareholders around 250p I would think. Personally if so I would accept it. However, if the results next week are poor they will stick to 237p. | kibes
22/3/2023 18:18 | Personally I think a rival bid is just the usual rumours that are always spread when there is a bid for any company. The P&J saying there maybe a rival bid at the beginning of this process and nothing has a appeared would suggest they knew nothing. The share price will tell you the likelihood of a rival bid and currently its indicating not. If it was closer to 237p, or better over it, then the chance of a bid was something the market was taking seriously. DYOR all in my opinion. | pogue
22/3/2023 15:09 | Gargoyle : South East share chat forum. Only posted because friends living in Aberdeen have heard similar rumours of late. I understand the local paper ..The Press & Journal expressed a similar view when news of Appolo Globe and Management's approach broke. Smoke without fire? | wendsworth
22/3/2023 14:56 | Where did you see those rumours, wendsworth? A strong possibility imo -- another industry player would have more opportunity for consolidation and cost-cutting so should be able to offer more. | gargoyle2
22/3/2023 14:42 | Wouldn't normally post twice but...rumours of 'another party'. Credible? Unlikely prior to 28/03? There has been some strange movements in the share price in the last couple of weeks with a range of 227 - 193? Back up again today by some 7 points? Been in shares subject to takeover bids before ...Albright & Wilson, Pilkington, DBS Management , Xansa, Abbey National ..to mention a few...... but not experienced such movements particularly bearing in mind the current offer of 237p.If the rumours prove credible then the situation is likely to change dramatically and quickly. DYOR. | wendsworth
22/3/2023 14:09 | packman8; Correct. Your linkage to results could prove significant. | wendsworth
22/3/2023 07:58 | Deadline has already been extended to 19th April for release of results next week | packman8
22/3/2023 07:45 | "Any offer for Wood is governed by the Code. Under Rule 2.6(a) of the Code, Apollo must, by not later than 5.00 p.m. on 22 March 2023, either announce a firm intention to make an offer for Wood in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer, in which case the announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the Code applies. This deadline can be extended with the consent of the Panel in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Code." | dipa11
21/3/2023 16:29 | this may still be stolen from shareholders on the cheap if the Insti's get the management onside by way of 'incentives'. | chutes01
21/3/2023 16:25 | chutes01: Very interesting times for holders who will be rewarded irrespective of the outcome of Appolo's schemes and devices. Holders can sleep easy as to the future with WG. | wendsworth
21/3/2023 16:04 | dipa, you struggle with the English language ?? | chutes01
21/3/2023 15:51 | Something is going on as buying are going through. By end of the day turnover will tell us the fate | dipa11
21/3/2023 15:38 | chutes01: Agreed! dipa11: Sound reasoning. Good post. | wendsworth
21/3/2023 15:34 | Wood group higher price range in last year was 240 pence plus. This takeover was started last year so they bring down the price for the group nearly 1 gbp and hold around 1.50 gbp. Then after recently they given 40% premium for takeover the company When the price are going down and shorter plus Sharks are circling at bottom price to grab the company. Same theory is running for petrofac and i am ready for looking for that Good luck | dipa11
21/3/2023 15:07 | unlikely apollo go higher than 250p, so this should now be an exercise to smoke out a buyer at proper levels, if none appear, we go on with improved management structure and principles in place Watson/Stewart almost wiped this out, nepotism, incompetence, arrogance, huge pension pots, bonuses nearly destroyed the farm. If deal is done on the cheap, it's ferrari's and sacks of cash as they sail off to the sun, never to be seen again. | chutes01
21/3/2023 14:30 | saltaire111: Hope so. Very much in shareholders best interests. | wendsworth
21/3/2023 14:23 | Unless there's a bidding war, it's not realistic imo to expect any take-out price to start with a 3. Apollo won't pay that. | gargoyle2
21/3/2023 14:13 | If the directors are aware they are being watched, then the deal will stall below 350p They cannot sign it off. | chutes01
21/3/2023 13:35 | Is the deal off? | saltaire111
21/3/2023 10:03 | chutes01:Your post 1158 ..hopefully not! There's so much value to come for shareholders. If what you say transpires I shall genuinely feel sorry for long term holders who've supported previous acquisitions. | wendsworth
20/3/2023 17:49 | 237 Not 273. | chutes01 |
