Weather update from Lanzarote - Scorchio!!

How is your Spanish coming along Ivan?

A small mercardo stocking branston pickle, leas and perrins sauce, jacobs cream crackers, HP sauce etc etc would be a simple way to earn a few bob with no risk.

I can see it now, The LBC ..... Larwood Beer Company. He He, Go for it Harold. Not necessarily the business, but certainly the move.

I also had ideas about British food over here, Cornish Pasties, fish and chips, Cornish cream teas. All my friends here absolutely love the stuff. But then I decided maybe not. After all, who wants to work? After a lifetime working, I can now spend my life just doing the things I love, and if I want 30 degrees C, I can just drive down the hill for an hour or so. Should have done it years ago.

Whether you prefer France, Spain or Lanzarote, there's a whole new world out there. Enjoy it. Life is short.

Actually, I'm thinking of a move abroad and, having an interest in brewing, there are no home brew shops to speak of in Spain or France despite a lot of keen brewers so a business idea is developing.

Although, just sitting around a pool or playing golf appeals.

Hello Harold thought you were an ale drinker maybe you can export some of yours out there shouldn't take to long to get your money back from WBN's losses selling it

Hola. Lanzarote fantastic and have been trying to rid the island of vino blanco glass by glass. And to think, what I lost in WBN would have bought a modest apartment here.

Oh well, at least the sun is shining and the wine flowing.

It was 1 degree and frosty at Bristol airport this morning but a balmy 26 degrees when we landed at Lanzarote. Checked into the apartment and wandered down the the beach for some vinho blanco and tapas. 3 weeks of serious relaxation ahead.

Yes, the cheque finally arrived last week. I've been evicerated by the Numpties. May they rot in hell.

Good afternoon all, for dinner we had ox tail, dumplings and pearl barley just the thing on a cold winters day. Mind you the ox tail is dearer than stake so it will be a rare treat.
Cold and dry here.

Ooh Harold you wouldn't, you leave them alone! Really cold here today, that wind is bitter. You got your cheque yet? Surely it's arrived by now?

Off to the Alps sometime in March, can't wait, lovely crisp air and sun not soggy like here.

That sounds lovely Fut, blow some down our way, all we've had is hail.

Take care all...

Back this evening from a very sunny Vienna where MRs L and I spent an excellent Xmas with our son and his lovely fiance. Fut, I love goulash soup and had it every day as well as gluwein. However, just sipping the first batch of my Fuller's ESB clone and its as near to the real thing as not to be noticed - apart from it only costs 25p a pint to produce.

Drove back to Devon from Heathrow in high winds and rain - still, only 3 weeks before Mrs L and I fly off to Lanzarotte for 3 weeks to spend the money received from the liquidator - so that's one round of drinks sorted then.

Good luck to all on this thread for the New Year.
