What's people's views? didn't we have a TU in early SEPT last year? Is the share price weakness heralding a more cautious update do we think due to driver shortage?

Wincanton featured on Newsnight last night regarding the HGV driver shortage.

Starts at just before 25mins:-

...lots of Waitrose vans at the depot. Presumably their size means they wont require a HGV licence.

The question is, does Wincanton have pricing power? They're being squeezed by driver shortage and having to pay more wages. Can they pass these on?

last year's TU was early September.....moves on the share price ahead of this will be interesting to watch. Will driver shortage slow growth, or will they have addressed it? Views?

If it's materially enhancing, then it should be RNS'd.

This is a final push for herd immunity...'its coming home', was the largest super spreader event this country could have possibly come up with...all been done by design, 140k unmasked people at Silverstone yesterday, Wimbledon etc etc, 200k cases a day coming very soon.

Wincanton will be back up soon on any positive news, and the equity funds could take the plunge at any moment and buy this UK logistics market leader.

Not selling anything until the markets are back to normality in September.

Less than 2 weeks ago....

The Board confirms that the strong revenue performance recorded in the second half of the prior year has continued into the first quarter of this financial year, with sustained growth and an attractive pipeline of opportunities in each of the Group's four sectors. Wincanton continues to make operational and strategic progress and it is trading in line with expectations. Profits are up significantly on the same period last year.
