Blimey - 'materially ahead' and 7 weeks to go - that's a confident statement with that long to go.

And with summer hardly here yet it looks like it's better business proceedure rather than the weather.

In for some this am.

jakleeds - I remember you recently posting some very interesting information on tax avoidance for serious investors. I can't remember which bb you posted it on, if I post my email address would you please send it to me or just post it here if you like.

This is going to be the hottest and longest summer since records began, according to reports (the most recent being Sky News two days ago).

This will provide a tremendous boost to SNCL's profits, and combined with the ongoing restructuring, director buys etc I think the shares will do extremely well in the next 6 months/ 1 year.

Still a buy imo.

no further details, I'm afraid - but I will keep you posted if I hear anything

CEO buying more prompted me to get in.

Mrning Gardenboy and welcome aboard - did the broker give any more details? The CEO is certainly very keen :-)

Hi jak,

just bought a few of these after a tip from a city broker - property worth a lot apparently.

Mr Burns buys another 25K shares. And I'm speaking to myself still!! Just noticed the RNS now for some unknown reason.

Anyway, I think we may get some good news soon, possibly relating to property disposal. Let's see what happens.

Unbelievable, through 100p like a hot knife through butter! If it closes above 100p then we could be in for a very strong run indeed.

Off again. I have to say, I didn't expect it to rise so much so quickly. Not complaining though.

I too had forgotten about this share having bought early in 06 and had to sell. I have checked to see what gains I could have made. Perhaps I will have to make room to buy some and start again.

Wow, 25000 shares bought at a quid. Someone knows something.

Interesting. Very interesting...

Some more buying today. The IC have rated these as good value, saying they have the potential to win large contracts.

Yes, I had a feeling whilst looking at yesterday's trades:

RNS Number:8576S

13 March 2007

DIRECTOR'S SHAREHOLDING

The Company has received notification that Bernard Burns, Chief Executive
Officer, yesterday purchased 10,862 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company
("Shares") at 91.49p per Share. Following this purchase, Mr Burns is interested
in 140,708 Shares, representing approximately 0.85% of the Company's issued
ordinary share capital.

Another 25000 T trade at 88.5p.

Someone's keen imo.

Yep, def been tipped somewhere given the small trickle of buys, and I think that 25K T-trade is a delayed buy as well.

New high, will be interesting to see if it closes at or above this level. We could then really see some movement, with the results only a few weeks away.

Interesting.

Seems to be a buyer around when it dips, with someone having just picked up 15000 shares. There have been similar buys in the last few days as well. Hmmm

Hi Hattori, it did cross my mind, but I have invested before in companies that have large pension deficits which have done very well, Hyder Consulting being a prime example.

However, the co said the following in their last set of results:

"The Group's gearing has fallen from 14.2% to 5.8%, as a function of cash
generated from operations, the revaluation of the Group's properties and the
reduction in the pension deficit. This leaves the Group well within its target
of borrowing not more than 35% of capital employed."

I have invested a small amount with a view to increasing my holding if results are up to/above expectations. Results are on 12/03/07, so not long to wait.
