Thanks 27Ben what happened at ORA? Why did they delist?

I first noticed RG adding to an IKA holding after their new battery technology had been officially validated. Also noticed him on the register of one or two of the IPO (IP2IPO Group) holdings too.

Hi 27Ben,
If you are looking for a broker who is the bees-knees on trusts try hxxps://www.winterfloodresearch.com/home/index.html

When I was in the city they were known as the best...rightly or wrongly.

Looks institutional only but if you have the £££ you may get access via close brothers or one of their retail arms....

If you do get access - would appreciate username / password as a thank you...

Thanks for that, I will continue in my search. I would like one that has connections in the trust world. But like everything in life, it comes at a premium! Something I would rather spend on Investments at the moment.

Re; Hong Kong property! It is certainly where it is at, at the moment, but I cannot help thinking that there is a massive bubble building, however the economy looks able to stand the premium that it comes at.

You have a good site set with DVI, keep it up.

Praipus

They do have a team, but they are not that comfortable discussing PE/Splits/ITs and generally anything that are not plain vanilla equities!

Just looked through British Empire Securities (BTEM) with the underlying discount and the discount to the trust you get about £1.50 of assets for every £1 invested.

Dont like Hong Kong property investments - I think the underlying asset is overvalued.

I also dont entirely trust the valuation of their private equity holdings.

On the whole though it looks like a very good investment...

Cheers on the DUPD info - Lars bought 1% more of the co approx.

27Ben - can't recomment any brokers with lots of good connections and can help. I can warn you away from Brewin Dolphin and similar private client brokers - all depends who you get, though some brokers are good most are not and the fees are extortionate.
