16/1/2021 13:39 | Like they want everyone to stop smoking.... Except the £12billion of tax revenue is quite useful. Electric cars... How will they generate the lost fuel tax revenue, VAT and the like... Think it through, HM Government. To quote a modern day saying "Do the Maths"... | ignoble
16/1/2021 13:22 | Far too rational. | eeza
16/1/2021 12:28 | "354 days since the first case in England and we are only going to close the borders for the first time Monday lol .Masks compulsory in many places last week after 354 days .Absolutely clueless this has carried on many months longer as a result. No chance il get a pint with my mate until April at the earliest. Maybe May what a shambles ." Exactly, you don't think this appalling excuse for a Government are killing off as many OAPs as possible do you so they don't have to pay so many OAPs their pensions? Therefore saving billions for themselves in the devious process. | luderitz
16/1/2021 06:40 | Nice 'Soft Words' from a Chancellor who is BROKE. Minimum Taxes and Revenue is been paid to the Treasury, because MOST now are on the DOLE. Claiming not Paying. Thanks to COMMUNIST CHINA This is to 'Soften you all up'. - until we get past the May Local Elections, because they know full well, they are going to be voted OUT.. Rishi Sunak rejects wealth tax: Chancellor WON'T bring in a one-off levy to cover the £280billion spent fighting coronavirus Instead, Trump gave the American public a $2,000 tax break, then punished Communist China for their plague with an import tax bringing factories back home and creating 6 million new jobs in Trumps 4 years.. The Royal Surrey hospital reports much younger and sicker patients now from Xmas gatherings .Teenagers now being treated with oxygen without known health problems .What a disaster it would have been without restrictions. 15/1/2021 21:34 | Johnwise, what can I say. Many businesses will not reopen which will include many independent pubs. I think the eventual public inquiry findings in respect of COVID will show up how badly the government has managed the spread of the virus. I was very negative of a vaccine being found quickly - I was wrong. I wonder if masks will become a necessary? I guess 'this too will pass' just like the Spanish Flu. Unfortunately freedom is part of the collateral damage of the virus. | konradpuss
