It's not just that though, is it. One needs to do the homework to see which are the blocks to be involved in. Better to have a tiny percentage of a reasonably prospective block, rather than a large percentage of a less regarded block.

Well said corrientes, that’s why I mentioned fec and cgx, who have 100% interest in a Guyana block, not just 7.2% of 17.5%.

At least the thread isn't dead, so if this blethering is a sign of interest in the share, so much the better.

If Guyana/Surinam is so prolific for oil discoveries, then with quite a few tiny pinkies in several pies, and a very low cap, the chances of making good money must be quite high, and the chances of losing money here now very low.

Manager of Exxon say :
Exxon expects to be operating 10 oil production units in the coming years to develop the resources it has found so far at Stabroek Block. Aggressive exploration campaigns are also planned at the adjacent Kaieteur and Canje blocks next year that could potentially unlock several billion more barrels of crude.
