04/3/2021 08:17 | The result doesn't bother me as much as WTE's relationship with JHI. Not very inspiring to see the raft of selling ahead of today. Who knew what when? | plunger2

03/3/2021 14:34 | yes, could be positive but doesn't tell us (yet) if they are commercial? Remember Tanager-1 had good quality reservoir but wasn't commercial. | thelings
03/3/2021 13:53 | Great news from Exxon Investor Day pack today! 'Quality reservoirs and hydrocarbons identified in first wells in Canje, Kaieteur, and Suriname' | mick
02/3/2021 18:19 | WTE RNS.Drill is completed and rig is moving from the well location. Drill result is not known yet .. | mynameiskhan
23/2/2021 14:35 | Not sure what the day rate for Stena Carron is - probably at least $100k/$200k per day - so an extra three weeks drilling may cost $2m/$4m - so why would you do that? You would if there are indications that well is going to be successful. Remember while the Cretaceous is the primary target, it is highly likely that Exxon will also test deeper targets like the Santonian. | mick
23/2/2021 08:35 | here's the link: Agreed Mick - Testing is often 2-3 weeks. We don't know - but I wouldn't be downhearted !! | plunger2
23/2/2021 08:24 | Continuation of drilling until 15th March is very encouraging. While can't be certain, it may indicate testing at both Cretaceous and Santonian levels? | mick
22/2/2021 21:08 | New info on Maritime Admin Dept website-March 15th updated date. Does anyone know water depth and TD for Bulletwood? Am interested in nearest offset well timings to understand whether things are getting interesting here? | myfriendsharer
19/2/2021 08:14 | That would be my view too Mick. And the very illiquid market doesn't suit but doesn't stop them. All this ahead of Bulletwood results. I remain optimistic. | plunger2
17/2/2021 20:29 | Remember there are some JHI shareholders that reduced their exposure to Canje risk by selling some of their JHI shares to WTE - thats how WTE built its stake in JHI. Some of these may now be liquidating some of their WTE holding in advance of the Bulletwood result. | mick
17/2/2021 20:13 | The panic refers to the offer price draining away. I agree that Exxon are masters at keeping it really tight. My worry is that there's an overhang of shares here - some larger holder keeps flogging. it stopped the price getting into the 20s - which would hardly have made it overpriced. And it hasn't stopped. Whatever about this well there's plenty to stay for here. JMHO | plunger2
17/2/2021 16:28 | Panic to get out? Today has seen a total of only £27K worth of trades (and almost all of them blue if you believe the bid/ask) - what are you on about?! I suspect the MMs are just bored and hoping for much more action than has actually been the case in recent days/weeks. This still seems very under the radar - tiny volumes and almost nobody on the forums/boards? Good. | robs12
17/2/2021 16:25 | I suspect it is the absence of news rather than real news. Exxon tend to keep their results very tight. | mick
17/2/2021 16:13 | Seems to be increasing panic to get out of this. Doesn't mean they're right or does it? | plunger2
14/2/2021 16:03 | Link to today's CPR for Kaieteur (from Ratio). Second half is in English: hxxps://mayafiles.ta | robs12
09/2/2021 19:11 | They seem to really be in the know with their contacts. I can remember them from many years ago, when they were heavily involved in the unexplored Northern Falklands via Desire Petroleum (?),but I think the price of oil collapsed soon after, and put paid to any further drilling. The difference now is this Central American area is not virgin territory. Let's hope for a Cove Energy ? | q2g
09/2/2021 17:30 | Yes, little interest on the boards, and still fairly insignificant volumes traded, but a massive gamechanger for WTE if one of the drills comes in. Interesting article (well...reference..) from JHI about the seismic technique used here: Hopefully we'll get positive news on both Bulletwood and Goliathberg within a few weeks. And if not, there's more to come within a few months. p.s. maybe it's because WTE are not an oil company, but an investment company? A bit dull? | robs12
09/2/2021 16:18 | I love it when a small company is drilling in a prolific oil discovery area, but little attention is paid to it. This one seems to be different to the usual. The number of tiddlers, with far less attractive prospects, but which attract a massive number of ramping posts, only to later crash and burn, are legion. A small percentage interest in a prospect here maybe, but for a small company....... | corrientes
09/2/2021 16:08 | Encouraging to see the trend in buying today - hopefully it is telling us something. | mick
25/1/2021 21:36 | I wouldn't get too excited. Tullow hasn't drilled a commercially exploitable exploration well for at least 10 years. Apart from Whisting in NNS, but they had to sell that at a loss. | xxnjr
25/1/2021 20:49 | More good news. Thanks mick. | robs12
25/1/2021 19:31 | Looks like another well about to spud, in which WTE has admittedly a small indirect interest. WTE hold 1% approx of Ratio which has 20% share of Goliathberg Voltzberg North -1. Oil and gas company Tullow Oil is set to start drilling at its Goliathberg Voltzberg North-1 (GVN-1) exploration well, offshore Suriname, targeting 235 million barrels of oil. The news of the drilling operation startup was shared by Tullow's partner Ratio Petroleum. "Ratio Petroleum is reporting that Tullow, the operator of Block 47, has commenced the Goliathberg Voltzberg North-1 (GVN-1) exploration well, offshore Suriname," Ratio said. Ratio Petroleum said that the GVN-1 well, drilled by Stena Forth drillship contained Best Estimate prospective resources of 235 million barrels of oil with a 34% geological chance of success. In an email to Offshore Engineer, Ratio clarified that the Stenna Forth has arrived to the drilling location off Suriname "and started working," but that the actual spudding of the well is expected "in the next few days." Five discoveries have been announced in Suriname since the start of 2020, and more than 10 billion BOE have been discovered in the prolific Guyana-Suriname Basin - most of it by ExxonMobil in Guyana - since 2015. Tullow Hires Stena Drillship for Suriname Drilling "This is the second exploration drilling for Ratio Petroleum in the Basin following Tanager-1 (Guyana), which was lately declared as a discovery. An update CPR for the Tanager discovery as well as for the additional prospects in Kaieteur Block is due to be published in mid-February," Ratio Petroleum said. Worth noting, while Tanager - the deepest well in the region drilled to date - was recently declared a discovery, it was also labeled a non-commercial one. The well sits in a water depth of 1,900 meters and will be drilled to a total depth of 5,400 meters. Preliminary results from the drilling are expected within 70 days. Block 47, which spans 2,350 square kilometers at sea depths ranging between 1,300-3,000 meters, and is estimated by NSAI to contain 927 million barrels of oil in three different prospects (including the GVN-1 prospect). Tullow holds a 50% share of the rights in the block, Pluspetrol holds 30% and Ratio Petroleum holds 20%. | mick
23/1/2021 17:50 | Okey-Dokey. Stabroek it is. | xxnjr
23/1/2021 10:12 | Yes xxnjr, I used the coordinates and came to that conclusion. | robs12 |
