Sorry about off topic guys. Re 9/11, it's my wee girl's birthday. Working on it but probably more than my life's worth to be in Edi that night :-( Will be sad to miss out on it. Impressed by the Milan keeper, went down like Stan Petrov on entering the penalty box ;-)

Ended up a bit of a rather rushed job as had to take the wee man to his basketball but there were plenty shares available yesterday and thought our fellow fools should get the chance of what looks like a possible bargain.

Morning lads, about time this started showing some returns for SEY's recent rise, online quotes now 7500 sell at 80.8p 750 to buy at 85p so odds on that will move up to 87p shortly.

The more I think about it, the more bullish I become, downside is almost non-existent as they could decide to sell off DES and SEY holdings as low as 25p and 10p and we would still get our money back and possibly more so gave it another wee kick although not showing up yet.

The 22k at 74.5p confirms there is someone wanting to offload so no harm in holding fire a little longer although if SEY increases anymore then may as well take everything they have got to offer :>)

Very tempted to add more and will be watching SEY, problem is once things tighten up here they are impossible to buy although thats outweighed with the fear if things get bad you can't flog them :>(

As I'm sure you're aware they got planning consent in Feb and it appears from the Eclipse website that work is due to start in Q108. I'm hoping to see some movement towards a float within the next six months but I guess that could also have been said a couple of years back.

I'm also hoping for news of another private equity investment in the nearish future. They said they were conducting a review of existing and new investments and I'm guessing they needed the CDS money elsewhere.

DES and SEY speak for themselves. I'm hopeful that DES will come good one day and I'm also positive about SEY's drilling over the next couple of years.

Westmount Energy sells entire shareholding in CDS Oil and Gas at 22p/shr


LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Westmount Energy said it sold its entire
shareholding of 3.76 mln shares in CDS Oil & Gas Group PLC at 22 pence per
share.
The company said the investment arose from a 500,000 stg convertible loan
the company provided to CDS.

£500k turned into £827.7k in almost exactly 20 months. That's a very decent rate of return (39.3% per annum on a simple (non-compounding) basis).

Now where's that Eclipse float ?

Good man whackford, well spotted, makes it easier to update things although have been wondering if the late chairman may have someone wanting the cash for his holding?

Checked to remind myself and he held just over 1 million shares.

Thanks gents.My records show that WTE paid effectively 14.25p for each of these shares, so it's not a fantastic profit. But like you, I am glad WTE has taken the cash.

This transaction presumably follows the strategic revue the board promised - and about which it has yet to advise shareholders. We may be in for more changes to the portfolio. Further liquidations may be appropriate, especially if Eclipse floats and SEY picks up. Maybe it's about time the board set an horizon for total liquidation and payout?

Very well spotted whackford. It would have been nice to have got them away higher up but I'm still delighted. I didn't like the look of CDS at all particularly after all the restructuring and couldn't/still can't understand its share price. WTE can do much better with the cash IMO.

B TRADE at 22p....so reckon that WTE's NOMAD has done a deal with one of the LDS/BROKERS to sell them on to their clients at the full ask. But hey so what, it's obviously good news for WTE and of course us therefore!
