Hmmm. Lurches down on little volume every now and then. Smacks of desperation to acquire stock by MMs as its soon gobbled up, when peeps do sell. Does level 2 confirm my thinking, anyone ?

yup,

so hargreave held 3.3m shares in dec 2014 amd in july 2016 purchased another 10m. This bodes well.

So the big boys are fully loaded.

this daily price increase may imply that news is very close.

the noises coming out of the company suggests they are very close to finalising the airport contract. The 30m per annum contract will be worth more than previously expected.

Come on...

Cairo would be a major win for WSG.

Another airport badly needing improved security is sharm el sheikh. Tourist industry in tatters and investment necessary to turn it round. All speculation, though.

neo26-It's obviously in ours and other countries security interests.Think hijackers, suicide bombers etc, flights to the west. One ME airport that's been heavily criticised for lax security is Cairo.Wonder if it could be that.

WSG work closely with the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) to help with overseas contracts, but I expect there are other departments who get involved.

A lot of their contracts are for sensitive security products for foreign governments and agencies and probably require special export / security clearance etc.

These International Airport contracts are of strategic importance to the countries involved (in sensitive areas such as Middle East, Asia etc). UK government will do whatever they can to ensure smooth passage and regulatory compliance.

Especially in the new post-Brexit era where UK is keen to forge new trading partnerships with non-EU countries.

one question why is the UK govt involved with the negotiations of the contract with the middle eastern airport?

29th July 2016...

"...Contract discussions are now largely complete which has resulted in a substantial increase in both the scope and value of the contract and is now significantly greater than the estimated GBP30m pa previously reported."

Having looked back at the original 8th March RNS they say...

"The airport which is the subject of this latest development is strategic both in terms of location and forecast growth, with potential for further agreements in respect of the country's other international airports."

So it seems to me that this "increase in scope" could well be that they will be supplying security services not just to one international airport but several.

If this is the case then you can see why the total yearly value of the contract will be 'significantly' greater than the £30m quoted for the single airport!
