One possibility is the shares in ICH get distributed in specie to WSE shareholders in a liquidation. The holding in City Group has already been written off. You'd think it's just a question of getting all the ducks in a row now.

Yes, definitely looks that way. Lets hope he liquidates the company / merges it with LFI rather than using as a cash shell. I suspect a liquidation is by far the cheapest option, although the two associated companies will need dealing with.

It's starting to look like WSE might be liquidated at last. Management still haven't indicated that this is the case though, so can you trust them? Hopefully, they don't use it as a listed shell for a strategic investment. Anyway, well done to those that held as a return is looking closer. I still hold indirectly through LFI.

Maybe at the next AGM someone might ask the reason why the Marshalls are not merging the two companies. The obvious cost-saving has been staring them in the face for decades.

Perhaps worth noting two recent deals where a large investment house has absorbed a smaller trust: IN December, Jupiter took over the management of Rights & Issues Investment Trust, with a tender "cash exit" offer to existing holders.

Last week I see Chelverton announced a similar deal with The Investment Company PLC, also promising a partial "cash exit" alternative.

Yes, very interesting they sold all the global equity investments, what price would a cheeky bid come at 70p...????
