Hi guys
I am looking for recommendations as to execution only brokers that facilitate stock purchases on foreign Bourses. it was suggested that some here may have experience having transfered WCC shares to the HK market.

So far we have TD Waterhouse, Redmayne Bentley and Selftrade.

Any suggestions and /or experiences would be appreciated on the JTC thread:

MJ - very clever, I dummy-sold all my WCC at cost and re-bought 2233 at todays price & rate, tinkering slightly to get exact match of purchase funds.

I am amused by the annoyance towards TDW.

I contacted Barclays, my foreign account broker, and I was told "2 weeks" before I could trade WCC. The company have only received the share certificates today and these have to be sent off to a bank in New York where the transfer then occurs.

Now that the new 2233 code works, I've experimented with the portfolio.
You can avoid the mental gymnastics of exchange rates in working out gains by converting your holding to post split quantity at cost times todays exchange rate.
The value is automatically updated for currency changes.
