23/8/2010 08:23 | TDW let us down badly; although I'm not selling anything anyhow! | pearcy2
23/8/2010 08:22 | Worth a try boozer. Not impressed by TDW myself; this certainly puts me off using them for any other foreign holdings. It may be OK this time but I wouldn't want to get caught in an unreasonably untradeable share too often. | edmundshaw
23/8/2010 08:21 | Good plan Boozer well done | rob67
23/8/2010 08:18 | TDW say shares not tradeable until end of this week at the earliest, despite assurances last week that trading today would be no problem. Just sent this to Anthony Schindler: Morning Anthony, I'm very please to see that the offering was well subscribed and the listing has now taken place. However, I am very disappointed that the shares I hold at TD Waterhouse are not available to be traded despite assurances to the contrary. When I contacted them last week, they advised me that there would not be a problem if I wished to trade them on the 23rd. When speaking to them this morning, they now tell me that the issues will not be resolved until the end of this week at the earliest, due to the fact that "the shares have not yet settled into their name" and therefore cannot be allocated out to my (and others) accounts. Is there any action that you can take to accelerate the process? It is precisely this situation that we were all keen to avoid. Best Regards | boozer99
23/8/2010 07:37 | Nice to see that we are now tadpoles in wcc. Liquidity issues will be a thing of the past. As soon as they decided to raise so much money we were never likely to get the gangbuster rise in HK on flotation. Nevertheless, wcc is now in such a strong position that we should see a steady rise to approach 2.20 to 2.40 over next the few months. Can't wait to see the broker notes coming through from goldman's, morgan stanley etc. | miti 1000

23/8/2010 07:29 | Not the most awesome start in Hong Kong, but a solid gain nonetheless. Can't complain at an adjusted price of around GBP8. | forest owlet

23/8/2010 04:24 | Bet was placed at 3:11 - anyone know what the actual price was at 10:11 in HK? EDIT - DEC contract was 191.9 | stegrego
23/8/2010 04:20 | 200 seems inevitable, 450M traded. | confusedcoalboy
23/8/2010 04:20 | Steg, I think you can bet in £/point or HKD/point. The default is set to £/point. But the price is now 1.99 so £150/point is looking very good for you at the moment! :-) | mcfly79
23/8/2010 04:15 | lots of trades going through on the cnbc ticker | drsous
23/8/2010 04:15 | IGindex JUN price ticket is borked. I put on 150 per point (which only need a 700 quid deposit). That was equiv pro-rata to existing bets. But the bet appears to be in £ whereas existing bets are reading in HK$. So looks like i bet 150 quid a point, which on the SEP and DEC bets needs a deposit of 7000 quid....... Which i wasnt wanting to do... also price shown on ticket is still same as when i opened the bet. Think i need to ring IG in the morning..... Equiv bet on DEC or SEP would appear to be 14.19 GBP or 173 HKD. Bet was placed at 190.13 Sorry - just noting this all down for my benefit when i ring up IG. | stegrego
23/8/2010 04:15 | Matt - I was thinking the same thing. :-) | mcfly79

23/8/2010 04:13 | A lot of stagging ? When that has all gone through we should rise further I would think. | arthurly |
