26/1/2005 16:17 | Very quiet here but chart appears to be strengthening again as results time approaches. We already know they've had a bumper year and continuing high oil price underpins current trading. Looking for a breakout by March. Quality play - good old fashioned business selling stuff other businesses want! | philjeans
26/9/2004 12:27 | Very happy to be over 100% up on these - AND STILL HOLDING! WHY WOULD I WANT TO SELL? - HAVE YOU SEEN THE CHART? Just look at those results and the report suggests even better to come - hence the divi up by 10%. Sell your dross; keep Wellies; buy some more. | philjeans
22/9/2004 17:20 | Makes you wonder if they are a take over target longer term. A good business in a niche area. My money is on them either being taken private or being bought out by a bigger fish. No knowledge - just speculation. | jk8
22/9/2004 17:19 | Makes you wonder if they are a take over target longer term. A good business in a niche area. My money is on them either being taken private or being bought out by a bigger fish. No knowledge - just speculation. | jk8

11/9/2004 18:09 | Clearly few followers for this solid performer - JUST LOOK AT THAT CHART! Results out 23rd and they will be GOOD. Still a long way North to go! High oil price underpins sales for this business together with surplus land to sell in west London; 5 year record order book and a great yield. | philjeans
30/5/2004 19:38 | honourable mention in the telegraph | schober
29/5/2004 10:06 | This will probably get a mention in IC and Shares next week, following the very positive comment at the AGM a few days ago. Should serve to underpin the recent rise and push the price on again. Still certain we'll see 150p in due course. | philjeans
26/5/2004 20:41 | philjeans Good to see you are still in there and getting the just rewards for your patience. | azalea
26/5/2004 18:27 | As I said four days ago (see above); no stopping them now! | philjeans
26/5/2004 15:32 | By gum!!!! what an upbeat agm statement! - our order book overfloweth!!!! also site sale and leaseback details and cost savings!!!! | schober
22/5/2004 10:06 | Virtually overlooked but this little company is a major beneficiary from a high oil price; it makes and sells industrial seals - a large part of the business supplying the oil and gas industry around the world. With more and more exploration and output now triggered by a high (and probably continuing high)oil price, Wellington has a massive order book; a rapidly rising turnover and much better margins following the major restructuring seen over the past year. I bought a pile at 80p and am very happy to hold until they double; looking for 150p by autumn. Institutions hold quite a wedge. Good yield. Latest report was extremely bullish and I think it's well overdue for another uplift. The high oil price can only help. | philjeans
29/3/2004 20:13 | Well it was worth the wait; absolutley solid and splendid results in the second half. Very POSITIVE trading statement and the chart says it will accelerate upwards; once it gets past the previous high of around 108p, it should clear 150p by mid summer. Looks a steal and completely overlooked currently. | philjeans
05/2/2004 23:33 | Why the sudden steep fall? | lisleryder
04/2/2004 19:15 | baker hughes rig count looking good and graphically | schober
21/12/2003 11:22 | Still quite keen on these and I am hanging on for a better set of results in the Spring. Oil price remains firm and the co has said many times it is optimistic about its sales to this industry, particularly in the US - more exploration and research improves sales of its seals and kit to the oil companies. Dividend maintained last time, despite uninspiring results , so direcetors appear confident about the future. Good yield and graph shows a solid and steady price with no selling. Institutions hold a good proportion of the equity and have remained loyal and supportive. 2004 will show a further sustained rise in share price if the directors can deliver their promise. | philjeans
25/9/2003 18:51 | Time to bail out and perhaps buy back in 5 months down the road. Up 40%+ since I wrote them up early this year. | azalea
25/9/2003 11:20 | A bit dull, I think. This small seller, 5061, has exited. | the other kevin
25/9/2003 09:51 | Order books improving. Second half year prospects better. USA picking up. Dividend maintained. Operating margins good at 11%. Freehold site sold above book value. Planning to reduce borrowings. Only small sellers on market so far. Future doesn't seem too bad to me. | lr2
25/9/2003 08:58 | Figs not inspiring. | the other kevin
24/9/2003 19:37 | Two or three nice buys today - results tomorrow. Graph looks firm and someone is quite positive about the figures it seems. If they are half decent this bull run could easily keep going. | philjeans
01/9/2003 11:39 | Three months ago they reported strong trading. Price has been moving up over last several trading days. Results due later this month, possibly with good news and strong trading. Topped up again last week for safe play. Looking forward to steady rise until results. DYOR | skiski
29/8/2003 22:18 | Yes, a nice little earner since earlier this year @ 75p (mid). | azalea
29/8/2003 21:02 | Yes - oil price still strong which encourages more exploration and drilling; thus aiding our little company's sales. Keep it simple, I say! Graph is a no brainer and it looks like we're heading much higher - if it breaks through the previous high, then it's on to £1.50 I reckon. With a decent yield as well. | philjeans |
