21/12/2003 11:22 | Still quite keen on these and I am hanging on for a better set of results in the Spring. Oil price remains firm and the co has said many times it is optimistic about its sales to this industry, particularly in the US - more exploration and research improves sales of its seals and kit to the oil companies. Dividend maintained last time, despite uninspiring results , so direcetors appear confident about the future. Good yield and graph shows a solid and steady price with no selling. Institutions hold a good proportion of the equity and have remained loyal and supportive. 2004 will show a further sustained rise in share price if the directors can deliver their promise. | philjeans
25/9/2003 17:51 | Time to bail out and perhaps buy back in 5 months down the road. Up 40%+ since I wrote them up early this year. | azalea
25/9/2003 10:20 | A bit dull, I think. This small seller, 5061, has exited. | the other kevin
25/9/2003 08:51 | Order books improving. Second half year prospects better. USA picking up. Dividend maintained. Operating margins good at 11%. Freehold site sold above book value. Planning to reduce borrowings. Only small sellers on market so far. Future doesn't seem too bad to me. | lr2
25/9/2003 07:58 | Figs not inspiring. | the other kevin
24/9/2003 18:37 | Two or three nice buys today - results tomorrow. Graph looks firm and someone is quite positive about the figures it seems. If they are half decent this bull run could easily keep going. | philjeans
01/9/2003 10:39 | Three months ago they reported strong trading. Price has been moving up over last several trading days. Results due later this month, possibly with good news and strong trading. Topped up again last week for safe play. Looking forward to steady rise until results. DYOR | skiski
29/8/2003 21:18 | Yes, a nice little earner since earlier this year @ 75p (mid). | azalea
29/8/2003 20:02 | Yes - oil price still strong which encourages more exploration and drilling; thus aiding our little company's sales. Keep it simple, I say! Graph is a no brainer and it looks like we're heading much higher - if it breaks through the previous high, then it's on to £1.50 I reckon. With a decent yield as well. | philjeans
29/8/2003 08:07 | Whiff of good news in the results at the end of September. | the other kevin
08/7/2003 20:41 | Another welcome rise and the graph starting to look appealing; no trades quoted but it could be a delayed/late bargain. Buy in for a sustained run. | philjeans
21/6/2003 13:46 | Interesting that the price has risen 5p recently (post Div) on little turnover and at that, small buys versus larger sales. Hard to know what to make of things except to wait for the prospects held out at the AGM to materialise. I note that business for Hunting Services must be good judging by its rising share price, this might be influencing MM minds, with regards to WLN? | azalea
20/6/2003 09:00 | Today's price action has just tempted someone to sell three shares. Curious or not? | the other kevin
09/6/2003 20:01 | TOK Up 11.5% in the last two trading days. IMHO The 25K @ 18.06hrs buy yesterday helped the continued rise today. There were x2 20k sells today which may drag the price down a bit tomorrow. The interesting thing for me is that with the big div already in the bag and no more until DEC, that buying should have kicked in and that the price should be so sensitive at that. I still think this share is a winner for all the reasons I have stated before. The recent update which included a strong recovery in orders from the oil & gas industry was very encouraging. | azalea
09/6/2003 10:20 | azalea - Info from ADVFN. I posted early when there had been but a handful of shares traded. Another pleasant little rise today - again with no significant trades. | the other kevin
06/6/2003 17:30 | That is interesting, especially after going XD and paying out. That said, all the admin is out of the way so who knows? Unless the 'buying' (possibly a director) has yet to be announced, it is quite surprising. Perhap the MM recognise them as being so cheap. Then again I do not believe that. Something will come out next week is my best bet. | azalea
06/6/2003 08:41 | Moving ahead with no trades. Anything afoot? | the other kevin
29/4/2003 18:31 | Over the past two days there has been a net purchase in excess of 230,000 WLN shares. If this trend continues it will undoubtedly show in a rising share price whilst clearly demonstrating that there is significant interest arising after a period of dormancy. Keep an eye out for more large (50K) buys! | azalea
26/3/2003 21:45 | The recent results were fair, whilst the whopping div was maintained. Expectations for the current year are improved - order input up in January and February across the group and ahead of last year! Management has been slimmed down with a new CE in post, cost cutting and rationalisation in train. At a long time low of 71.5p and prospects improving, I am still looking for corporate action. | azalea
24/2/2003 20:12 | It was interesting to read over the weekend (Sharewatch - S.Times) in comments relating to Texas Oil & Gas, that its COO -an East Texas oil baron is now reopening his own oil wells as they are now becoming economical in the face of rising oil prices. If these 'reopenings' require WLN type oil seals, then when you think of the number of other wells around the world that are in the same category not to mention previously uneconomic drillings, it could very well herald a huge boost in demand for its products. Add to that the release of 600m acres of U.S. federal land for oil exploration, then things can only get better. I am looking for an upward move on WLN come March, irrespective of the outcome of an attack on Iraq. | azalea
07/2/2003 20:35 | IMHO the 'tick up' was the result of a 30k buy @ 81p. With the announcement of the Prelims on 24 March and there being no untowards trading statement so far, (and unlikely to be so now)the price could well move up, but I suspect only on the strength of buying. Good figures/prospects could certainly send them up much higher, especially with oil price hikes now reaching above US$32. | azalea
07/2/2003 11:27 | Results out next month and a lovely tick up in anticipation. | pdyke14856 |
