10/10/2012 13:28 | moreforus, sounds like a good idea :-) i think someone should start a thread for genuine investors on here and moderate, any chance you can set one up ? | reutersman
10/10/2012 13:23 | CuFes2,you are like a dog up against a lamp post with three legs lol You still dont get it,MRI is effectively a watermark listing in south africa and it is in their interest to either keep the MRI shareprice above the list price ( up 55% ) or take more of their stake at lower price if that happened. Why do you think its traded 55% up as a new float? contrary to your view it must have attracted better interest than they expected. They are in a win win with MRI whichever way it goes as they get a premium on placed shares and also will receive a 1.1m Rand bonus. If your honestly saying that is a bad deal for watermark i suggest you need to do some homework on economics. | reutersman
10/10/2012 13:15 | moreforus You made the statement . . . just answer the question . . . if, as you assert, "SA investors understand the risk better" why did TAM fail to place 75% of the MRI shares by the September deadline . . . | cufes2
10/10/2012 13:12 | oh oh Mine Cap you disobeyed teacher and shall now be punished for buying like a very naughty boy! | moreforus
10/10/2012 13:09 | If the "SA investors understand the risk better" is that why TAM failed to place 75% of the MRI shares by the September deadline . . . | cufes2
10/10/2012 13:09 | Mine Cap... no idea ! | moreforus
10/10/2012 13:05 | moreforus...have never traded on the JSE before so useful to know :-) Do they release rns news at specified timeslots on there ? | mine cap
10/10/2012 13:00 | yep..keep an eye on the volume though - JSE is like sets so they last price traded is the same as the mid price....so if there is for example a 20 share buy on the offer it looks like its gone up... the volume as i said looks ok today..i think SA investors understand the risk better than we do so as its up 55% since relisting (and WET is in fact lower!) | moreforus
10/10/2012 12:50 | moreforus....thanks for that,i cant believe the wider market not picked up on this yet, noticed that MRI has crept up last few days on the JSE. | mine cap
10/10/2012 12:44 | but this is the interesting bit so could be news on this front too.... "The pilot briquetting plant will be moved to site in the next few weeks in order to commence production of sample batches for final off-take evaluation and specification." | moreforus
10/10/2012 12:43 | Mine Cap it's in the recent rns.... Operations The implementation of MRI's Coal Briquetting project is progressing well and first production is anticipated by February 2013. The pilot briquetting plant will be moved to site in the next few weeks in order to commence production of sample batches for final off-take evaluation and specification. This information is required under the existing off-take agreement to enable potential consumers to evaluate the product. By implementing the pilot plant ahead of the main production facility, MRI will be in a position to assess market requirements and make final adjustments to the process before entering into full production. | moreforus
10/10/2012 12:42 | Does anyone have any links for MRI,s timelines on Coal Briquetting ? I saw in recent Rns that the pilot plant was commencing in late september to enable them to produce samples for clients. Can we assume that they do already have off take agreements in place subject to quality control ? | mine cap
10/10/2012 12:23 | moreforus,it may be simple but it was worth doing as we can see that since they last stated the NAV in the results it has in reality increased another 20%+. Am quite tempted to shift some other shares i have into this. | reutersman
10/10/2012 12:09 | asixe, going by the info on MRI website i think its a very smart move and the revenues from this could be very high if they can keep to their margins. | mine cap
10/10/2012 11:57 | john spain, soz i missed your post earlier, have they actually given details of off take agreements on the coal project? | reutersman
10/10/2012 11:52 | Hey mine cap, good to see you here :-) Whats your take on their Coal Project ?? | asixe
10/10/2012 11:42 | moreforus,i like the figures you put up on watermarks NAV 1.25 mill cash (800k plus 25% stock loan returned plus stock loan fee) 1.2 mill loan to TAM (the stock loan) fee being earnt 4 mill MRI shares (55% profit on 2.69 mill = 4.05 mill ...gbp) 6.45 mill gbp / 1,531,374,350 = 0.42p | reutersman
10/10/2012 11:35 | thanks guys,have a feeling this one could be a genuine cracker. | mine cap
