10/5/2017 09:25 | I suspect it is one institution that is hoovering them up. | redartbmud
10/5/2017 09:16 | any reason people still buying today? | mfhmfh
10/5/2017 07:27 | Also wanted to say thanks to Norbert. It's not very often you feel genuinely informed by BB posters. I have a bigger holding than I might otherwise have had thanks to your 'ramblings'. | eclair
09/5/2017 21:39 | Great post Norbert I'm delighted you're faced with the high class problem of reinvesting your well gotten gains. I'm with you on D4T4 so I'm hoping that benefits from a rerating. Cheers🍷 | rhomboid
09/5/2017 21:29 | Excellent post Norbert, a big Thankyou from me as without your regular insight in the sector I'd probably have sold a long time ago. The first bottle is on me 🍷 | battlebus2
09/5/2017 21:10 | He has commented on lots on Twitter today. Definitely not an insider but works in the same field so has a great knowledge of what's value in the sector. | battlebus2
09/5/2017 21:01 | On the contrary, Norbert is a very well researched, proactive and communicative Investor IMO. I also believe he travels quite a lot which could explain the recent silence.... Implying he was inside for his own advantage is a little below the belt IMO | pj 1
09/5/2017 20:40 | I think I might take it and run - surprises to the downside somehow always seem more common than the reverse ;¬| No comment from Norbert - was he an insider? Always did seem very well informed... | supernumerary
09/5/2017 19:26 | thanks all | mfhmfh
09/5/2017 19:15 | super As long as the message gets out. I plan to see the bid to conclusion, but that is personal choice. 139.5 is a good deal without a counter bid. Were there any shorts around? I can't see why, but burned flesh if that was the case. 4.737m buys, 143k sales. I know there was a big institutional deal, but those represent 11% of shares in issue. | redartbmud
09/5/2017 18:55 | I sold today for 139.5p which seemed a very good price for a 140p offer. I guess some are hoping for another predator but I think I'll leave that for the next man. Good luck to everyone that holdsHind sight will reveal if I jumped too quick!! | mattboxy
09/5/2017 18:49 | red - snap - I should learn to type quicker! | supernumerary
09/5/2017 18:48 | mf - the major risk is that the bid will fall through, in which case, depending on the reasons for the failure, you'll likely be back where you started. Selling risks missing out on a rival bid, which at this sort of premium is pretty unlikely, but not impossible. You pays your money, you makes your choice... | supernumerary
09/5/2017 18:43 | mfh It is 'dead money now'. I have no idea how many weeks it will be before the proceeds of the sale are received. Unless there is another bid, that is it. Some sell up and reinvest into other companies that my give a return far quicker - dividends or increase in the share price. In the very unlikely event that the bid fails, the share price will fall back. | redartbmud
09/5/2017 18:19 | p.s. So much for the Brexit fears LOL | pj 1
09/5/2017 18:18 | mfhmfh-A Bird in the hand........ unless your holding for a counter bid.. Well done to all those braver than me. I had sold down over the last few months, but so is life, still a very nice bonus though. Great to see some well known and respected Posters making a profit without ramping or the usual BB garbage... | pj 1
09/5/2017 16:43 | Apologies in advance for the simplicity of this question. It seems as though some have sold at 140p and some are holding. I'm in the latter category. Is there any risk in holding or have people sold because this has reached (surpassed) their target price? | mfhmfh
09/5/2017 15:31 | Presumably, like many, when i checked and saw there were some 39 new messages this morning for WTM on ADVFN, on what is generally a very quiet thread, before clicking on it, immediately thought it could be only one of two things: Takeover announcement at a modest premium to the share-price (would have been delighted with 115p - 120p) or A profit warning due to a downturn in UK business post the Brexit vote. Even though i felt the market cap of the company represented excellent value, feared the odds were probably more skewed towards it being the latter rather than the former. To secure an offer at a 83% premium to the existing share-price in the current industry climate is a remarkable achievement - once again well done to the Board. Will be raising a good few glasses tonight in appreciation! | mount teide
09/5/2017 15:12 | where is Norbet | robow
09/5/2017 14:54 | Considering the huge premium to the share-price, remarkable that news did not leak beforehand. Very low volume in the week before this announcement. Only two trades in 5 figures: 15000 buy - two days ago (well done!) 34600 sell - four days ago (ouch - a cool £22.5k left behind - been there done it, so know the feeling!) Such is life ! | mount teide
09/5/2017 14:19 | Some trades going through at the full 140p. Anyone know who's paying 140p per share? Ta. | ed 123
09/5/2017 12:08 | Sold out and proceeds into WYG.Similar undervalued business | macdoni
09/5/2017 12:02 | The shares are being bought from you with cash. It is no different in tax terms than if you had just sold them through your broker. | martinc
09/5/2017 11:10 | Witholding Tax: Does anyone here understand what the position might be on Witholding Tax, given this is a Japanese acquirer? | simso |
