I’ve watched the results webcast. Seems like the business is in better shape than it was two years ago, but still reliant on acquisitions for growth. Those will inevitably involve raising new equity imo (I’ve lost count of the number of new capital raises WHI has done in the last 5 years), in which presumably Polygon, M&G and the directors will get to participate at a nice discount. The webcast talks of lots on ‘investment217; in both divisions, but that really just means hiring more people. When is that going to stop, so that long-suffering shareholders can start to see the benefit? I forget when Polygon first invested here (2015?) – I wonder if they knew then that they would still not have exited nearly 7 year later. Surely they must be selling out soon?! I live in hope.

Still no sign of the interims, even though I've asked the company. Director buying at 40p, 48p and 58p over the last year, so I assume the results will show continued strong progress..

Anyone know when the interim results are out here? 26 October last year. finncap had some decent figures today, so I'm looking forward to seeing whether WHI can carry on from the relative success of last year. Hoping this management team can be more consistent than previous managements.

News of an upcoming IPO which WHI is handing:

From today's update:-

Phillip Wale, CEO of WH Ireland, commented:

"WH Ireland has had a very significant year of progress, returning its first full year profit for more than five years, delivering a substantial number of capital markets transactions, including two IPOs, and completing our first wealth management acquisition. The strategy set two years ago for turning around the Group has taken shape and has moved into the next phase; growth.

"The Group's financial position has become more robust, enabling investment in further organic and inorganic growth, particularly in building upon the existing platform now in place in Wealth Management. We continue to look for potential acquisition opportunities and new hires in both divisions as we benefit from the successful integration of Harpsden and the recruitment programme already completed.

"Working conditions over the last year have been extremely challenging and all our employees should be proud of the progress we have made and I wish to thank every client, customer and business partner for their dedication and support."

So they've made an acquisition on the wealth management side, so how about on the corporate brokerage side next?

Arden partners looks interesting, especially since they just recruited their new head of capital markets from there.
