"VR Education Holdings plc (AIM: VRE; Euronext Growth: 6VR), a leading virtual reality ('VR') technology company, is pleased to announce that its ENGAGE platform has been chosen to deliver a major United Nations ('UN') event. VR Education's ENGAGE platform, which hosts virtual events, virtual training and remote distance learning, will be used to facilitate the UN's annual 'Global Youth Takeover' event on 24 October 2020. With Covid-19 making many physical events impossible, using VR technology, the ENGAGE platform can provide attendees of virtual conferences with a real live event experience. Attendees can watch presentations or shows and walk around different areas to talk to people. Delegates at the UN event will be able to hear from global influencers, including, among others:

-- Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus: the Director General of the World Health Organisation
-- Siyabulela Mandela: Journalist and grandson of Nelson Mandela
-- Jayathma Wickramanayake: UN Undersecretary and UN Envoy on Youth
-- Julianne Hough: Actress and Performer (including as a judge on America's Got Talent)
The event will culminate in a virtual performance from musician Pitbull, who has approximately 100 million social media followers.

European Commission Virtual Event

On 30 September 2020, the Group's ENGAGE platform hosted the first full virtual reality event for the European Commission with 70 delegates participating across the European Union. In lieu of the hundreds of physical events that would usually be held each year, the European Commission is exploring alternatives to video-based communications as a way to keep its members connected in a more personal way. Using ENGAGE services, delegates were able to hold private conversations in a large virtual exhibit hall and attend talks from keynote speakers. The Group is actively working with the European Commission in this exploratory phase to ensure that such events become the preferred means for the European Commission to host events in the near future.

How much profit per event did we make what was the feedback from these major players

The interesting part of the news today is that HTC looks like it has the clout to get big names as accounts for VRE. Heading into a 2nd covid wave for Europe and possibly other parts of the northern hemisphere is going to focus the minds of companies on finding alternative solutions for teamworking, events and conferences. VRE leads the pack in this area.

Mid price on close on Friday was 12.5p but it showed 13p which was incorrect..Based on this we're up 8% so far today..If we can break 14p could see this start to move.

Agree Cerith. Hitherto they've been spending heavily on developing Engage, but going forward they'll start to receive recurring revenues and hopefully have fewer R+D costs, while winning more contracts.Cash in the bank and falling cost base make things look different for the future I believe.

These results were for the first 6 months of 2020.Moving forward it is a completely different picture for the second half of this year... This company is going places and I feel some big contracts and news around the corner..

Having seen this above 20p in the last 3 months i did think we would be looking more around the 15p level after the news this morning.
At least the company now looks far stronger and should hopefully see a steady climb from here.

It'll be 3rd on top list risers (given 20 mins delay) in a few minutes and I anticipate will get more noticed bringing more buyers.....😀

With all the excitement over at BLU this morning,, I I initially missed this. Excellent news and another household name on board. Engage is going to be massive imho.
