VPhase wins North West Innovator award for eco device

CHESTER-BASED company VPhase plc has won the North West Innovator award for its voltage optimisation device, which helps homeowners cut electricity bills, lower energy use and reduce carbon emissions.
The event, which took place at The Point at Lancashire County Cricket Club, was organised by TheBusinessDesk.com, recognising outstanding talent, innovation and achievement across the region.

VPhase plc require a marketing administrator or marketing executive to join the marketing team based in their offices at Capenhurst Technology Park, Chester. This is a broad marketing role that will encompass many aspects of the marketing mix and offers the potential for developing a career in marketing with an AIM quoted technology company working within the energy efficiency market. The key responsibilities will be:
Training – coordinate the national training program, liaising with trainers and delegates
Events and exhibitions – management, logistics planning, support and attendance
PR – develop press releases and agency coordination
Reporting – tracking and reporting on industry developments and competitor monitoring
Media enquiries – fielding media enquiries and liaising with external agencies

VPhase plc require a Telemarketer to join the marketing team based in their offices at Capenhurst Technology Park, Chester. The telemarketer's primary tasks will be:
Making outbound telesales calls to the existing contact database of electricians, wholesalers and distributors
Populating the CRM system with relevant (customer) information, and cleansing the database
Generating sales leads for the sales team
Disseminating company information and news to the contact database
Raising general awareness of the company
Previous experience in a customer services / telesales / telemarketing role would be desirable, as is experience of using a computerised CRM system. A good telephone manner is essential as is the ability to work within a team.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Telemarketer will be responsible for the outbound call activity of the business. This role requires determination and a systematic approach to working through the existing database(s) of contacts.

The role is initially offered on a temporary basis with flexible hours and a competitive hourly rate.

GREEN technology business VPhase has been shortlisted in the best new product category of the Climate Week Awards, which aim to recognise firms combating climate change.

Castlefield-based VPhase was nominated for its voltage optimisation technology, which can be used in homes to reduce the amount of electricity used.

It is fitted to the home's fuse board to cut the voltage supplied to appliances, without affecting their performance, and the firm claims it can cut electricity consumption by up to 12 per cent a year. The winners will be announced on March 21.

The result is electrical appliances use less electricity and cost less to run. The technology has been saving large companies millions each year, but this is the first time it has been available on a domestic scale.
