                            Director's Shareholding


First Artist was informed yesterday that Phil Smith, Chief Operating Officer of
First Artist, purchased 20,000 ordinary shares of 0.25p each ("Ordinary Shares")
in the Company yesterday at a price of 13.25p per share.


Accordingly, Phil Smith is now interested in 7,500,000 Ordinary Shares,
representing 13.91 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company
(including 2,797,600 Ordinary Shares held by the Smith Family Trust, a
discretionary trust under which the beneficiaries include Phil Smith and his
family).
