Outlook

The transformation of Volex has strengthened our business and our focus on working more closely with key customers is expected to deliver further growth in sales and margins in the coming year.

I'd like to add on a pull back, but looking at the volume I'm not so sure there will be one for a while.

Was due a decent bounce imo - through the Dec high too now.

Big trade reported late of 124 thousand quids worth. Probably cleared any overhang and now set fair for a rerate.

Something is cooking here for sure. Could be a yummy tandoori chicken on the way.

Going well at last.

Agree bugle, would be nice to see more volume - but let's just enjoy it for a change :-)

Not quite the inspiring volume we've seen in recent days but a pause for breath won't hurt it.

Maybe a small pull-back tomorrow, let's see if the dips are bought. If they are I would agree with you spooky.

I would hazard a guess that the bottom is now in and that buying dips makes sense.

You missed the word 'yet' off the end of the sentence - they will try...

Quite possible that after over two years, thems that wanted out have got out. And there are only so many times the same people can go short?

Apart from Golden Troughs Active Management, obviously. Before we get too carried away, they'll be along soon, to dump all over this.

I am pretty intrigued by this move in the shares, it's not really the price move, it's the fact that no one has tried to fill it in.

I hadn't noticed that, really - always good to have another institution interested. Just had a quick trawl of their website, and their approach seems similar to mine, value-based, cash, safety etc.

Noticed that two of their funds own VLX shares, both with slightly different objectives, albeit the same fund managers. The 'Undervalued Fund' in particular has performed very well against the market over 3 years and 5 years, and the report states "We have updated our models for over 250 full year results. Of those not held in the Fund, 37 companies required investigation. Following this, we further narrowed it down to 27. We are still to meet five management teams but of the 22 which we have already met, half have made it into the fund and half were not successful. Meeting management is a very important part of the process as it is critical in assessing asset values, the ability of a company to create value for shareholders and delivery of results."

Could all be meaningless, but it is a rigorous approach, they have a proven track record, and having met with management, it adds some external independent support to the belief that one day, these bloody shares might go up...

Added this morning.

Bloody annoying is what it is - SIPP tax relief gets paid in tomorrow, so would have been good to get them at 66 or thereabouts...

I wouldn't trust the volume figures too much BrownRO. I bought £10K and it's not shown.
