Yep, gotta love a discount to Nat's recent 418p purchase price.

Didn't quite get Sharon Molloy's 390p price though.

I look through the noise and fog produced by short-term gamblers and algos and focus on fundamental long-term dev.

I didn't think I'd get the chance to buy under 400p again. A great day! I took a big gulp under 400p.

next point 11.30 : Presentation with VLX management.

Lots of margin calls ... punters getting closed out ... some SB companies suspended trading VLX ... all adds to the volatility. Should see a bounce in the cash markets .See what they say on the call later

It will turn blue soon..typical short traders exiting at outset and long termers mopping it up...solid results

Traders with stop losses are going to be hurt today. These will bounce back soon, as the outlook looks very rosy...

I think investors should not hate these days. Investors should love them as long-term opportunities.

Short-term gamblers hoping for quick profits on earnings releases will hate this day.

Think they could be looking for supply in the range 395-385p. Look for a bounce from there.

320-360 a solid pick up in this one i would guess. froth would be long gone and would set up well for substantial progress by mid 2022 report.

Investors remain very keen on EV-connected shares:

US EV company Rivian (US:RIVN) priced in New York this week with a valuation range topping out at $67bn (£49bn), and is only expected to deliver around 1,000 vehicles this year.

If VLX can tap into even a fraction of that excitement, it could be an energy transition winner.

Bit of profit taking today. Long term story remains the same. So buy the dip i guess.

I think the forward PE is more like 25+?

Profit after tax (and bear in mind tax rate will rise is losses used up) of $17.2m, Full Year, what $38m? And in Sterling that's £28m. M/C of £680m, means PE ratio is 24.3, Considering higher tax rate is pending, that puts it in the high 20s.

And it is acquisition accounting - hide all the nasties on consolidation, provision away etc etc.

I don't think it's that cheap - but than I didn't think it was at 250-300, so wtfdik?

Share price reaction tells me that some expectations had run ahead, that there were a few tourist in the stock purely to play the earnings release, and that there's a lot of focus on short-term margin stabilisation. Personally, I see a buying opportunity here.

I think I see a massive oversold condition here and a great opportunity to pick up quality pearls that investors are throwing out on the streets because they are not able to evaluate the potential of future acquisitions.

Collect, put back and wait for the next M&A RNS...

No recommendation.

Well forward p/e is 22, which is pretty racy for a low margin industrial. I’m not sure p/s is a good metric at the best of times, but definitely not (in my view) for a relatively low margin manufacturing business.
