14/6/2007 15:24 | VDI love to tease us shareholders by putting out these contract wins whilst we are all waiting for the big one. Nice to see further work from Israeli defence and its also nice to see a constant flow of contract wins being announced. MM are still playing games though and have stock to shift. 10k on the bid and 250k on offer. We need that to be the other way around before we know for sure the overhang has gone. | nickcduk
14/6/2007 15:21 | Goodness me - another contract. Smallish but they all help. Looking strong going forward and the revenue targets must surely be blown away now. | vida
12/6/2007 16:34 | Yes MM's definately seem content to leave this one up on the day (no 11 on the leaderboard which is nice)...does though make me wonder whether they have an idea on when the airport contract will be forthcoming...and whether this is gonna coincidentally coincide with the overhang clearing. Still - would like to add a few more under 20p though :(( | tole
12/6/2007 12:36 | Pumping and dumping on a grand scale today by the MM. They have not moved from bidding from 10k all morning. They dont want any stock but have nudged the price up so anyone buying gets stung. Now they are offering 250k shares again which shows the overhang is still alive and well. The dirty, evil, robbing ......... | nickcduk
12/6/2007 11:11 | News must be on the way...the big one. | hotfinance14
12/6/2007 10:51 | Well, there's a 100k buy at 21.5p for a start :o)) EDIT - and a 50k at 22.5p.... | rivaldo
12/6/2007 10:36 | I would give the large buy order in the background some credence if they were bidding for stock more aggressively. By bidding for only 10k they obviously don't want that much stock. Online limits have not changed yet but I expect they will later on in the day. I was tempted to sell 10k just so they would knock the price down so that others who are looking to buy wouldn't get shafted. Ive held back so far because it may take a couple of 10k sells to do the job. | nickcduk
12/6/2007 10:30 | I was thinking the same thing Rivaldo - usually they seem to push it up 1p. I am keen to add some more but do not want to fall victim to seeing it dropping later, as Nick suggests. | vida
12/6/2007 09:55 | :o)) Interesting stuff nick, thx. If you don't mind, perhaps let us know what happens at the end of the day to see if you're right. A question though - with such a rise (2p is pretty significant), is it possible that there's a large buy waiting to be reported, or that something else isn't happening in the background such as a decent buyer being out there collecting up shares (on a T trade for example)? | rivaldo
12/6/2007 08:50 | I hope no one is buying at current levels. MM are playing games and will drop the price back sharply as soon as someone sells 10k shares. The dirty evil robbing barstewards should be shot. | nickcduk
12/6/2007 08:42 | Not quite on the yellow brick road yet :o) | masurenguy
12/6/2007 08:42 | MM playing games. Only 10k available on the bid and 100k available on the offer at 20.9p. They are trying to draw in a few more buyers. I get a feeling that whenever they move to 100k from 250k that they are going away and taking instructions from the seller about what they want to do next. It seems to happen after some news is released. I would expect 250k will be back on offer by the end of the day. | nickcduk
12/6/2007 08:38 | It was all a dream then.... Nice start today on the back of that late RNS. Anyone know if L2 and the amounts available to buy/sell have improved? | rivaldo
11/6/2007 22:27 | Yep, a nice little deal - particularly nice in that it will all be recognised this year. I've been idly speculating that this contract was released late today in order to concentrate people's minds on the airport announcement which will be announced first thing tomorrow, but I suspect this will remain a dream rather than the truth. Still, only 19 days and counting to go. | rivaldo
11/6/2007 19:18 | Agreed its not a massive contract but the potential for further wins is promising. Im not sure how widely they are looking to roll out similar systems but there are a fair few schools in Canada which they can go for now. Maybe they can then try and pitch for a few US school contracts. They could possibly double up with AV side with security modules to protect pupils from outsiders and also keep an eye on classrooms. With the US being so free with litigation its worth having proof in scenarios where teachers might be accused of doing something untoward in class. I think the purpose of announcing the contract win was to bring to investors attention various products and solutions which they have in the pipeline. They have started putting out regular contract win announcements to keep us better informed. They should be congratulated for that. Hopefully they will have a few more juicy wins to announce soon. Not only the airport deal but keep an eye out for the Mississuaga transport deal. That was worth $5m and was expected to be confirmed around now. | nickcduk
11/6/2007 17:20 | Only a tiddler but I suppose could be replicated in many other schools eg UK Technology schools. But as you say Tole, its the airport contract that we're waiting for. Away in sunny Sicily from wednesday but hope we've got it by the time I'm back on 25th. | arthurly
11/6/2007 16:58 | After hours announcement...was hoping it would be 'The One' we've been waiting on. VISUAL DEFENCE INC VISUAL DEFENCE WINS COMMUNICATION AND AUDIO VIDEO CONTRACT WITH NORTH VANCOUVER SCHOOL DISTRICT RICHMOND HILL, ONTARIO, June 11, 2007 - Visual Defence Inc. 08/6/2007 23:15 | VDI has shown good strength in the market. Interesting to see how the price reacts to relatively small purchases. Is the overhang still there? I look forward to the contract, and some coverage. This seems to surf under the radar for the moment which is strange give the large Director purchases recently. | vida
08/6/2007 12:12 | Cheers Rivaldo. Agreed, at the moment VDI is the only blue that I have surrounded by a sea of red. HAWK was another blue earlier on but now it is flat again. | masurenguy
08/6/2007 11:33 | I bought the 30k earlier. Seemed to move the offer which is surprising. | arthurly
08/6/2007 10:53 | Now sent M. Nice to see blue here on a day like this! | rivaldo
08/6/2007 07:57 | M, I'll try to send it on later. From the recent results: "In addition, I am pleased to announce the company is in receipt of a signed a letter of intent and is now in the final stages of contract negotiations with a government airport authority for a 25-year Build-Operate-Transf The BOT project, to be carried out with a Canadian partner, will enhance both physical security infrastructure and daily operations at the airport. Costs to implement the security project will be covered by the introduction of a security tax by the government airport authority concerned that will be applied to every passenger passing through the airport. The contract is expected to be signed before June 30, 2007." | rivaldo
08/6/2007 01:21 | "rivaldo - 7 Jun'07 - 21:37 - 412 of 415: Only 23 days maximum now to wait till we get news of the signing of the 25 year airport contract". Riv - How are you able to be so specific about the news timeframe ? Would also appreciate a copy of the broker note. | masurenguy
08/6/2007 00:40 | Maybe thats their subtle way of setting price target of 51.4p :)) | dasein
07/6/2007 22:34 | Darlocst - just sent. | rivaldo |
