01/12/2017 10:18 | LOL fatnacker There are other solutions to lightning strikes. I worked at a place that was struck by lightning approx 8 times a year. the difference was they were used to it and had systems in place to deal with it. Africa will presumably being tropical have regular downpour sand regular lightning strikes. Drilling rigs should also be used to being hit by lightning and will normally have protective measures in place to guard against it. Foo has spent a lot of money on this rig, a few quid to protect the activities and investment shouldn't have been out of the way if that was the case. I suspect it isn't anything to do with that and "electrical issues" is just glossing over a number of other issues that collectively mounted to a 14 day outage. Needless to say we will never get to the bottom of hit here unless "super sleuth" prowler gets on the case and unmasks the events. | larry laffer
01/12/2017 09:31 | I cant see it being generator issues, maybe a revisit of the issues caused by the lightning strike? just guessing, disappointed that KF didn't have the presence of mind to be sitting atop the rig with a carbon fiber brolly when the lightning hit. | fatnacker
01/12/2017 09:17 | I suppose its even worse if they generate all their electrical requirements on site, its not a particularly good advert for changing from fuel oil to gas if they can't manage their own plant adequately. What will happen to companies who get cut off the gas supply because Foo can't be bothered to operate his xmas tree properly. | larry laffer
01/12/2017 09:13 | probably fatnacker I have got a spare one of those they could have had for nowt. Haven't used it for years. | larry laffer
01/12/2017 09:02 | Powers generated on site Larry, if they said the phase converters needed a new flux capacitor would it help? | fatnacker
01/12/2017 08:53 | Wonder what the electrical problem was If it was a problem with the rig then surely the contractor is responsible for that and at no cost to VOG. It would be a complete irony if the electricaal supply problem was due to disruption in the grid. Eneo related. What type of fault with a rig can take 14 days to resolve. Lack of spares maybe ? Foo & Dik need some sort of firework placing strategically they are supposed to be managing this project. | larry laffer
01/12/2017 08:26 | Hang on, they're drilling and cannot guarantee results. That's not incompetency. I remain invested, buying more and more optimistic now | muffster
01/12/2017 08:26 | I told you 6 weeks prowler, I was right, you were wrong, there's no ambiguity, by all means carry on whining though. | fatnacker
01/12/2017 08:19 | Better than being blind to the facts. We were all waiting for flow results, what did we get, yet another excuse and a delay. The share price only went up a bit due to the fact we were so close to good news. this will close down. we have a month according to you before news, so expect 50p soon. | peterpowell21
01/12/2017 08:16 | I find it amazing that there doesn't seem to be any good news to help off set the feeling that they are totally incompetent! | abacus2
01/12/2017 08:14 | So we all have to work on fattys time lines, so no news now till new year. This will drop to 50p over time mark my words. | peterpowell21
01/12/2017 08:14 | It's not me that doesn't accept it prowler, you're the one running round like headless chicken when a timetable slips, I accept it, you chose to whine, that's your choice, you're obviously insecure and whiney, what can I say. | fatnacker
01/12/2017 08:11 | I would have thought, the one that said, here are the flows results we said were coming. Not we had a problem and we have fixed it. | peterpowell21
01/12/2017 08:05 | Fatty you have to admit its just one thing after another. Come on just for once admit the truth. | peterpowell21
01/12/2017 08:03 | Prowler which sounds better? " we are having problems with la108 and we're trying to fix them or we had some problems with la108 and we've fixed them? Which rns do you think the market would prefer? | fatnacker
01/12/2017 07:56 | They dealt with some issues prowler, the alternative is what exactly? | fatnacker
01/12/2017 07:56 | So we now know whey the Sp has fell so much. Again the facts have to be released to the market sooner or latter, so why latter? then decide to come clean. All this delay in news will do is drop the share price even more. They really don't have a clue how to manage the project or news flow. | peterpowell21
01/12/2017 07:52 | Considering the blow out problem they had with this well, then to get it to what is looking like almost certain production status, got to be a plus. | dan de lion
01/12/2017 07:51 | Probably another 1 million dollar down the drain and still no news on contracts.Let see how the market react. | philippem
01/12/2017 07:50 | Fatty, headless chicken blame culture. lol So the clowns started the WELLS with an electrical problems, so they thought they would finish the well of with more of the same. FFS clowns the lot of them. | peterpowell21
01/12/2017 07:40 | You've got the same info as me drh, what you do with it is up to you, if you subtract the headless chicken blame culture approach you be somewhere in the ballpark, just like me. | fatnacker
01/12/2017 07:37 | Fatty can you do all the forecasts from now on, and we'll ignore anything from the company ok | deanroberthunt
01/12/2017 07:35 | It's par for the course, I did say flow results would be 6 weeks after td, I can't have known there was an issue but always double the estimate and you'll be somewhere near, on the plus side the casings run successfully. | fatnacker
01/12/2017 07:35 | well well what a surprise. Can they get nothing right. What a bunch of useless half wits we have running this company. | peterpowell21
01/12/2017 07:19 | more delays....what a surprise... | deanroberthunt |
