04/12/2012 08:08 | This is a difficult one, they keep promising progress but it never materialises,Leisure has lost almost 10% of it's installed base over the last 18-24 months.Perhaps insiders know what's really going on but sitting here on the outside the jury is out. | spooky
04/12/2012 08:02 | Results look as expected. It looks promising for some major contract wins in the USA. VNET could easily double its installation base with new sites in the USA: The Board sees considerable future growth potential for iDraughtTM in the USA and is encouraged by the strong interest from national retail chains. This is as a result of the Group's increased investment in the USA as our recently incorporated business Vianet Americas Inc., extends its footprint beyond the Colorado on-premise beer market. Vianet Americas' roll out delivery capability has advanced significantly with the creation of a high calibre cross functional senior USA team as well as entering a strategic alliance with Micro Matic USA for nationwide iDraughtTM installation, service and sales support. The USA on-premise beer market has over 300,000 bars of which around 60,000 are accounted for by national chains. The full launch in the USA in Q4 FY 2013 is expected to result in new business gains with several national USA retail chains expected to sign contracts in H2. National chain distribution will provide geographical footholds around which Vianet Americas will focus on gaining further installations from the independent sector. | 0rb1t

03/12/2012 11:34 | Hi Jeffian, Excellent post, thanks very much indeed for taking the trouble to explain some of the company's history. I am encouraged by your saying that the issues are historic, and new management untainted. Could well explain why the shares are so cheap, and positive newsflow has not really moved the share price lately (there is a seller in the background, as myself & friends have bought several hundred k shares in November, and it didn't move the price at all - a seller just squares the MM books most evenings near close of play). Results are tomorrow, so let's hope they are good. 30 Oct trading statement indicated in line, so shouldn't be any surprises hopefully. Cheers, Paul. | paulypilot
30/11/2012 15:26 | Hi Norbert, I agree. Very nice little company, I've also been buying in the last month, and it's now one of my larger positions. There seems to be a seller in the market feeding out stock. I summarised my investing thoughts & figures on the company here, which I hope you find interesting/useful (but be sure to DYOR). https://docs.google. Also did a write-up on Vianet on my investing website here; The market does not seem to have picked up on the earnings growth already happening (from elimination of losses at 2 smaller divisions), and good new product potential. I'm excited about the vending machine telemetry product, sounds like it could have considerable upside potential after being used by Coca-Cola and VISA at the London Olympics. Big Director buying in the last 12 months too. Regards, Paul. | paulypilot
30/11/2012 15:20 | Just put 4% of my portfolio into these over the last 2 weeks - hopeful of great things with a strong balance sheet limiting the downside. Excellent metrics all round and a great (new) business element unfolding all for a 2013 PE of 7.7 I would be interested to hear of anyones negatives on this company. | norbert colon
12/11/2012 18:22 | OK Paul. No problem. | cwa1
12/11/2012 17:18 | I'd prefer it if you didn't CWA. Cheers, Paul. | paulypilot
12/11/2012 16:28 | Go on, CWA1. You can say. | jeffian
12/11/2012 15:47 | Yes, been tipped. Sorry, not sure if OK to say where. None of the usual channels. | cwa1
12/11/2012 15:28 | Was this tipped somewhere at the weekend? Normally there is only 2 trade a day today we have 27! | 0rb1t
30/10/2012 17:59 | No, they cleaned out the Augean stables, though the crook Derrick Collin was able to walk away with two small fortunes (the second one at our expense). I read somewhere a couple of years ago that he had set up another competing company in the same field and contacted the Co to say that surely they had tied him up on a 'non-compete' clause when he left, but I didn't get an answer. Still, as I haven't heard of him since, I hope that he has now disappeared for good. | jeffian
30/10/2012 15:15 | Anyone happen to know if any of the directors here are still involved ? Only they ate my hamster... and that's putting it mildly. It delisted. 30/10/2012 08:44 | Trading update this morning but currently not showing on ADVFN: | 0rb1t
30/10/2012 08:27 | has this just been tipped? | adam
04/10/2012 11:23 | I wonder how he got that many? There's no trade of that size shown and nothing like that sort of volume in the market usually. | jeffian
04/10/2012 10:11 | Yes indeed. Hadn't spotted that, thank you. I'm not usually swayed too much by Director buys - small ones often look like an attempt to shore up the share price - but significant ones look like a show of faith. Many years ago, when Stagecoach was on its knees - I noted that returning CEO Brian Souter spent £13m buying shares which seemed like a strong signal! I followed him in and it's been one of my best performers. | jeffian
04/10/2012 07:23 | Big director buy for long term SIPP investment. | this_is_me
05/7/2012 11:03 | Ah! I am not alone. 8-) | jeffian
05/7/2012 07:47 | still making progress by the look of the statement. | this_is_me
12/6/2012 19:47 | I think you need to address that question to the Administrators, waldiman! "Press Release 12 December 2008 Brulines Group plc ('Brulines' or 'the Group') Acquisition Brulines Group plc (AIM:BRU), the market leading provider of real time monitoring systems and data management services for the UK leisure sector, is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Vianet Limited ('Vianet') from the administrators of Vianet plc for an undisclosed fee." | jeffian
12/6/2012 10:12 | Steady, if uninspiring, results today. Still, on a sub-10x (adjusted) PER and a 6% yield, there's no pain in holding! | jeffian |
