jeffian - I did. But having mistakenly posted it here first I edited the message. |
Hmmmm! That's a pity (trading update). I note that Rachel Reeve's "growth" strategy gets a mention. |
Then shouldn't your posts be on "the other VNET" thread? |
That other VNET (VNET Group, on Nasdaq) is flying again today. Up 60% so far this month. Up 113% since Xmas.
Numerous funds have taken a bite: [...] |
I own shares in the other VNET - VNET GROUP on Nasdaq. (Trading not investing). And that one is up by 45% this month (90% since Xmas). Information/news feeds do get a bit confusing - especially as the name of the US one was once 21Vianet! Shame they have the same ticker. The US one is run by a Chinese team, so I guess it might be strangled soon if Mr.T. spots that. |

News day are always noise days. Needs a few days for the market to digest the information and form its opinion |
The city was expecting better than 7% growth. The PE looks unjustifiable without double digit growth. Gross Margins slipped 1% which has taken wind out of share price They talk a good show so it will be interesting to see what they have to say. |
I was going to hail the 'solid results' before the market opened but decided to keep my mouth shut as Mr. Market always seems to see something I don't and mark the shares down, and so it proved. Just got to figure out what the problem is now. |
Shhhsh - just how I like it. The last thing we need are all the rampers creating lots of volatility. Nice break out and hopefully it can quietly melt out from here |
It's oh so quiet ? |
I've been acquiring over the past month, all of the director buying here feels very positive. |
Thank you, H, I'll have a look. My interest in VNET goes back to the old Brulines days as I was involved in a company which was among the earliest adopters of the beer-monitoring technology. |

Jeffian,
You may be interested in a comparable share to VNET, which is Newmark Security NWT:-
"Newmark Security in 2023: A Transformed Tech & USA Success Story"
NWT has been one of the best-performing shares of 2023: its share price has more than doubled this year, on a return to profit (£353K. of earnings), and growing revenues (£20.31M.)
But at 75p NWT's market cap. is still just £7.03M., though its share price is on a roll at the moment, and should go a lot higher. |
They say so. Their explanation is that the switch from 3G to 4G impacted on H1 but in their words "the headwinds of H1 will turn into tailwinds in H2". They made a good presentation. If interested, you can still catch the recorded version. |
23 mil market cap jeez
Then again I'm just glancing at the results I know nothing about the company, maybe second half is a lot stronger than first ??? |
If anyone interested, remember there is a results presentation at 10.30.

Ooops should read start not sart! |
Jeffian - nice summary of TU. I agree. Pleased to see an 800 unit roll-out with a forecourt operator via sure-site already. Rolling out 8000 connections would be what we need to see? But its a relatively rapid sart at least.
Agreed with regard to relatively recent NED splashing out twice. Accordingly I helped myself to a few more before the price spiked up.
cheers |
I note that the NED is picking up more than a token few shares..... |
Nice positive update, if still a little "jam tomorrow". I'll be pleased when they move from being "well-positioned to deliver growth" to delivering it! |
