currencytrader, I hope you got them @ 349p ;-)

Fall is a bit worrying.

Chartwise there should be support around 302p from march 2020 then 285p (february 2016).

Hopefully won't come to that. I'm still holding.

Really confused, but there appear to be plenty of companies reporting good results recently only to see either no reaction or very negative.
Like most holders here I am well under water but I can't bring myself to sell.

Multiple growth drivers at Vesuvius, says Peel Hunt

There is plenty of opportunity at industrial engineer Vesuvius (VSVS) thanks to multiple factors working in its favour, according to Peel Hunt.

Analyst Harry Philips reiterated his ‘buy’ recommendation and increased the target price from 435p to 570p on the stock, which fell 0.9%, or 3.8p, to 426p on Monday.

‘The outlook for global steel demand ex-China continues to be positive heading into 2022 with a further underpin from low finished steel inventories in Europe and North America,’ he said.

‘Add in the recovery profile of global auto production expected to drive [the foundry division; in 2022 and Vesuvius is set for a good start to the year.’

Philips added: ‘The pricing model is robust and well proven, which gives us confidence in the ultimate delivery of the 12.5% operating margin albeit we do not currently have it reflected in our forecasts, so more opportunity.’

Personally I've never paid any attention to broker targets.
I remember reading a study a while back that looked at broker consensus targets for FTSE 250 stocks at the beginning of a particular year and found at the end of year that there was a NEGATIVE correlation between targets and outcomes!
Having said that, I maintain my view that if I see another more attractive proposition I will jump ship.

As a holder who is under water I'm not really sure what to do here.
Pros and cons in the update leaving a broadly neutral outlook.
I guess if I see another opportunity that looks more attractive I will sell but inclined to hold for the moment.
