123ct,

I'm not sure if this will help you for your exact requirement but is a good starting point for anyone looking at ETFs:

Scroll down to "How Do I Find The Best ETF For A certain Index?"

This is the wrong bulletin board but I cannot find the correct one, can anyone tell me if there is an etf of US dividend heroes, equivalent to USDV hedged back into sterling , I have one for the EQQQ and S@P500 but not for an US income etf...any replies will be very appreciated plus any other thoughts on other US etf that are hedged back into sterling...Thank you

Any idea how to get the 3 graphs that used to be in the header?

I particularly used to like checking the daily one which I can reproduce in "Charts > Basic" but it isn't the same and it would be nice to see all 3 at the same time.

TIA

I'd be stunned if the 'wizards' who devise these leveraged ETFs aren't a shower of robbing barstewards.

To quote the great Peter Lynch, 'Only ever buy something you can explain to an 8 year old.'

Hi 250 lovers, anyone in this and also In any of the 2x250 etf? I'm looking at 2mcl. But wondering if the leverage is madness.

Lottery tickets probably have a better return than most bank accounts at present.

It won't end well.

We seem to be inching our way better here. Well spread investment that should deliver a much better return than a bank deposit over the next 12 months.

The FTSE is heavy in hydrocarbons and banks. These have been very unpopular.

The world and US trackers are full of tech. Hence their good performance.

I think the worm will turn.

@honestmarty, although I want a strong recovery I have been looking at where the LSE has been over the past few years. It has been underperforming the other main indexes which seem to have moved higher beyond previous peaks. (leaving aside COVID) I am now thinking that Brexit must be playing its part on suppressing LSE from reaching new highs, hence the reason for the underperformance. I am now thinking of moving on to other Vanguard funds outiwth the UK. That said I do think this fund is a safe haven, just not that exciting for future gains (in the short term).

Welcome onboard.

Predictions of a strong UK recovery will have VMID looking very pretty.

Just bought in here. Saves all the trouble of messing around with the ups and downs of individual stocks.

Hello there to what must be one of the most quietest boards I have ever seen, which (for me) is a good sign. I have just bought in, pulled up a chair and think I'll take a wee snooze.

I've been adding here too. Much preferred to the FTSE 100 where there are too many dinosaur companies already in long term decline. Some excellent global investment trusts within the FTSE 250 too.

Yes I've been topping up past few weeks into this via my vanguard account. Also been buying VEVE, and VUSA.

A sensible long term UK recovery play.

Given sterling is very low, possibly less of a currency risk than FTSE100 trackers.

Vanguard, one of the biggest.
