30/1/2003 17:54 | lol no even saw it yesterday on DAY, think it was crabbyman. I 'spoke' to Pretcher whoo hoo. Strange he thought the market forsaw 9/11 a bit hard to swallow esp considering most of America society were unaware of Anti American feeling at all never mind to such a degree. I know its a global market but still..a bit strange. W And I doubt ant EW were saying they were seeing 'something' big in theri waves before the event. And it was a big event so I guess the signs would have been big. | ![]() moregas

30/1/2003 17:40 | this made me laff on the ew fred today excellent mick...feed the goat .................... Bob Prechter - 30 Jan'03 - 14:12 - 22 of 107 moregas: You're right. Steve Hochberg handles the Short Term Update, as he has done since 1995. He took it from half a page to 3-5 pages a night, which is a whole publication in itself. I would never have the time to do what he does on top of everything else. Short term target: S&P to 880-900, NDQ 100 to 1065 (futures). Then down. mick p - 30 Jan'03 - 14:15 - 25 of 107 thats what GF says....you must be good Bob | moonblue
30/1/2003 17:40 | You are barking up the wrong tree there. I have only a problem with one person on advfn and I think you all know who that is. We discussed ETQ off board jon and sorted it there, I think we agreed the price might come off and that is why I advised on the thread to sell part holding and take profits in case it did. 30/1/2003 17:31 | eerrr..well yes it *was* a full pound a point too...but I accidentally closed half of it down by trying to long the nearest term month on Fins....I did not realise the near term month of Feb was missing on one screen so rather than longing Feb I longed the nearest i could see (march) and........I was not best pleased. My PC had just crashed and so i was flapping a bit when i got back online and did not realise the near month missing on the page. Its a bit muddled but I coould go into detail but I doubt you'd be so interested. It was a blow I tell you as I often close even 50p trades if it moves against me..so having a big £1 bet so out of danger was a great phillip for me. Run your winners...I admire your ability to trade...I often am reluctant to take profiits and sometimes get a good profit only to see it be bounced away. I've a NRK short from 640is too..letting that get bounced smaller but I can't see a better entry and if we have another downleg...I'll let it run. | ![]() moregas
30/1/2003 17:31 | Last time I made a perfectly sensible posting on OXB you got rather defensive and shirty about it....I'd warned you about ETQ just prior to that and was correct in both cases. I've got little time for those who take my stock views personally! | ![]() indalo

30/1/2003 17:17 | You have a short from 8700???.....Well done Moregas, it sounds like you're doing something right! Seriously though, I think this is one of those times to "trade what you see" rather than worrying about what Pretcher/Raptor etc are seeing. I see resistance above, a bearish divergence on VIX, and plenty of room for further downside before any danger of a big squeeze. | ![]() indalo
30/1/2003 17:10 | Well I think that too Indalo..pity about being spooked out of two losing Dow shorts recently but jusr reshorted and this time I am willing to let it run against me now I see how much each little failed trade can do...its for April too so plenty of time. I could even use my short from 8700 as a hedge in a way and when the loss on this equals the gain on the other (supposing it goes up from here) I could close at the break evne point. | ![]() moregas
30/1/2003 17:02 | I'm becoming more biased toward this rally being almost over...We may well have seen the top IMO. The VIX has worked off much of the fear while we've bounced back, and SPX is pretty much AT the necline and not liking it. DOW just hasn't got any real buying pressure.....Compare VOD retested on MUCH lighter volume today...setting itself up perfectly for a decline to 95p target as given by the text book H&S. | ![]() indalo

30/1/2003 15:42 | Looks like NRK is running as expected on here. Run up on the obviously good figures, but then that's history. All the more to short from - good play guys. | ![]() yf23_1
30/1/2003 15:39 | just as valid today but I think the neckline is open to manouvre 877-875 is what I get as the neckline of the above H&S if cutting upto candle bodies. Just zoomed in on that area on a 10min candle and seems we just dropped right through and never went back | ![]() moregas |
