Firstly just a word of caution - if you are pinning hopes on a successful drill.

The current well being drilled at South Dagi is a "Step-Out" well. A Step-out well is a type of exploratory well drilled outside of the known current boundaries of an existing reservoir to search for an extension of the reservoir or even a new nearby reservoir. Hence this poses a much higher degree of risk of failure vs an infill well (An infill well - as the name suggests - is a well drilled within a field whose purpose is to act as a way of both accelerating recovery and increasing ultimate total yield).

A failed step-out drill whilst not good for the shareprice isn't the end of the world for UEN...

However conversely a successful drill with positive results should result in an upgrade of reserves at South Dagi and potentially make it an attractive proposition if Ural's Management are looking at bringing in a JV-partner to facilitate an accelerated development drilling program.

In the past it has been stated that 2/3 of these Step-out wells will be drilled at South Dagi - if some/all are successful then this could be a game changer for us as shareholders!

There's a tanker moored up just offshore the South of Kolguev. As Arcticneft are now the only operator on the island it must be waiting on weather for the loading

Well Jkx are on a roll today and they are Ukraine and Russia so this is not a 'russia' thing.. I agree with others it's just everyone here is waiting for an update before making a move.

We're already a third of the way through Q2 Martyn, I can think of stronger adjectives than tiresome/frustration to describe my feelings :-)

It's a bank holiday in Russia today so wouldn't expect any news today.

@LALRIA - did you receive any feedback from Allenby?

We are now in the Q2 so should get news on south dagi drill and 1st shipment news,the sooner the better as this is becoming frustrating and tiresome.

I think some of this today was folk closing T trades. If you recall one guy closed last week and it pulled the price down and the said another to come. There may be more than him!

Some got a good deal. Some paid 84p. 84p for near 6k, 2mins later 94p for 3700.
