Very good RNS both reassuring and stating that upl are in the prime position in partnering with Brooke. Should be an amazing 6 months to year end in Sarawak.

The chances of us getting something in the licencing ought to be nailed on now. The only variables being the number and size imo.

I love the way this BOD goes about its business. Calm professionalism of the highest order, executing their strategy like it's just another day at the office.

That's very good news - the market was calling for reassurance from management though it seems insiders had knowledge of this on Friday - hence the price rise..........they're not shameless are they!

Excellent news. So Upland have held meetings in conjunction with Brooke with the company that is going to issue licences (Petros) and going to give priority to Sarawak companies and those working with Sarawak companies - sweet!!

...or if you want to be ultra bullish...

1.
The election has changed nothing !

2.
All previous bets are off and Brooke and Upland are taking over running the show as of 1st July !

hatto...yes...and somebody was happy to sit pressing the buy button for the last 90 mins of trading last Friday and accumulated 1.2m+ shares at a rolling full offer price!...there is lots to be confident about...IMHO

Doughty that's a great post.I went through the pod cast on Thursday evening and agree with the potential here.Dr Steve Staley does sound very upbeat and handled the interview like a Pro He seems to be holding back lots of news flow in my opinion and he did mention lots of news flow to come here.I have taken a position based on the podcast and Steve's background. This is a great investment and I would love to be able to buy more here as we move on.

Wick spudding Q3 is very exciting...its just around the corner and potentially transformational...this alone could drive the share price to a happy place over the next few weeks......but Sarawak could be the real prize...I would urge you to listen to the "vox-cast" over and over again...listen to the tone...and feel the vibe from Steve Staley...then in tandem with that look who has invested what along the recent timeline...investors dont invest large amounts of money without being shown some kind of prospectus re their potential returns and the cos. The management have "skin in the game" too with Staley also keen to point out that we have a listing on the main market. The signs are all there IMHO that this is a rare and unique opportunity to buy in and hang in there for some potentially stellar returns !Ramp over !

Doughty/Argyle - the only word I couldn't see happening was monopoly - all the rest points to us having an advantageous and enviable position in an area still very rich in hydrocarbon potential provided the various political movements and ocmmercial deals come to fruition as expected

Spangle/Doughty/all

From the original Rns...

“Upland Board believes that considerable potential exists in Sarawak for further discoveries and for the reappraisal of existing fields.”

So considerable potential for, in effect, NEW discoveries. If made, the value of such is
Obviously unknown. But note well, Brooke and Upland are not charged with looking for small potatoes.

Spangle...

The wording of the RNS re the MOU is a little vague...

"to jointly assess, explore for and develop hydrocarbon assets within the State of Sarawak, Malaysia."

Perhaps they could have explained it in a little more detail ?

And it is such an in depth and long winded process...so we could do with a little more info ?

I am glad that it is UPL that is involved...it appears...from what we know...to be very exciting and a brilliant opportunity for us !

doughty - if my understanding is correct then we...together with Brooke...have a monopoly on assessing and pursuing hydrocarbon assets...of which there are numerous...

A monopoly is not my understanding. The hydrocarbon resource of Sarawak - under development and as yet untapped - is immense, and one company is not going to have the wherewithal to explore and develop it, nor is it in the country/government's interest because it wants competition, and timely development. There are also two very large players who have been on the scene for many years and won't be going anywhere soon.

The picture appears more to me as if they might have advantages, perhaps first refusal, or being directly offered existing discoveries rather than having to bid against others.

But AIMHO and speculation along with everyone else
