11/5/2018 22:02 | JABA, maybe you're right, but he was shouting about it, which encouraged others I'm sure. It still puzzles me that he didn't buy quietly. | yogaboy
11/5/2018 21:39 | It seems like some posters who are well researched about our UPL have more to say:- One of the famous stock quotes is "The key to making money in stocks is not to get scared out them" Peter Lynch. If you have done your research you will know that Sarawak gained full control of the state's oil & gas prior to the Malaysian Elections. You will also know that both the then government & opposition party (Now government) where on the same page re Sarawak i.e returning their rights as per the declaration of Malaysia (party manifesto pledge). You would also have researched that the Sarawak govt has stated oil & gas will play a vital role in it achieving it's vision for the region & it's people. You will be aware all oil & gas permits must be submitted before or on last day 01/07/18. Also worth noting Sarawak governance has signed MOU not only with UPL. The recent elections results will change nothing for UPL in any negative way. Sarawak is an independent state of Malaysia & Sarawak has full control of the state's oil & gas. Research is what is needed not vouching for people. Ps my 2 previous links from earlier on detail the above alternatively Google Sarawak oil & gas news. That's what I did. Just need facts to help those who don't do any research as the election results will no doubt have spooked those who have done zero research. As always do your own research but I'll be topping up next pay if I have enough spare money. But the sentiment shared earlier on the alleged I contacted the company & the company where upbeat or not phased (can't remember the exact wording) I am inclined to believe because of the research I done today & links I found. I welcome anyone who finds similar links to post them here for the benefit of all. If your feel it's not your job to spoon feed those to lazy to research I respect your opinion ( was said on ADVFN bb). I hope we all make money so GLA. | stark industries
11/5/2018 20:11 | Stark, I like UPL's potential regarding the onshore marginal oil fields in Sarawak Can't get my head round one report that mentioned Baram had potentially 1B boe still to be found. Will post early next week if I find it in my files Lets hope this turns into a Cove 2 Have a good weekend Thanks | euclid5
11/5/2018 18:27 | From DelBoi (Courtesy of LSE) Out of respect for management I will paraphrase. The company and direct They seem quite comfortable with the recent election results. The outcome may potentially be better for UPL, affording Sarawak more autonomy of its affairs. I'm sure some here will be able to vouch for me on that. if anyone got spooked and have sold out of here due to the election result then you may need to think again :) Have a nice weekend all. | stark industries
11/5/2018 15:06 | Cheers stark you too. | soulsauce
11/5/2018 14:54 | Wishing you all a healthy, happy and wonderful weekend with your families Till next week | stark industries
11/5/2018 14:45 | O/T, They still need to raise £50m, so expecting plenty of dilution of majority plaing shares - perhaps some CLN added too | euclid5
11/5/2018 14:43 | ...we might be approaching what you might call "slack water" here...and volume dropping off a little so all set for the next leg up...IMHO | doughty
11/5/2018 14:37 | Think u played a blinder stark | thejaba
11/5/2018 14:15 | I just did two dummy trades I was offered... 3.2p to sell 3.38p to buy That is a tight spread in reality...and nowhere near the indicative spread And that last 100k trade @ 3.38p is a buy not a sell....Mmhhhh ! | doughty
11/5/2018 14:12 | Bid picking up? | argyle underclap
11/5/2018 14:11 | Not sure these shares can be shorted. Not on IG or CityIndex anyway. | henrymcivor1
11/5/2018 14:08 | I am sure the new government will honour the all the deal done with investors. This is line with their previous strategy in order to attract businesses. Hence no worries as it will pick up soon. | hmgouda
11/5/2018 14:05 | YogaI also think it was down to Steve Staley's interview in the publication.Stark bought many millions, however over the period it doesn't account for 80m shares traded. | thejaba
11/5/2018 13:52 | In at 3.17p & 3.69p respectively. Not interested in the current share price regardless if it goes up or down. Only day traders & those who have put money in they can't afford to loose will be worried about day to day trading. I am more interested in the assets we have & will acquire in the near term future. Looking a little further on I am then interested in the management plan of said assets ie what will be spud first & in what order. | finncairn
11/5/2018 13:13 | "The bottom line is that this just seems to go down every day."That's not the way I see it, but I'm in at 1.7p, so we probably have very different perspectives. The recent rise was, IMHO, almost entirely down to Stark's highly publicised buying spree. It was talked about on LSE and on Twitter, so of course it generated interest and the share price rose accordingly as more buyers piled in - including you? I wonder what the share price would have done if Stark had purchased quietly (no criticism intended, Stark, just my observation). Now the publicity has waned, the share price will fall back, sure as the night follows the day, until the news arrives. Shorters will make a few quid as it falls, and good luck to them - given the BOD's holdings, there's nothing to fear from that.I'm not waiting for the herd to arrive, as they often wander onto the scene in anticipation of news rather than in reaction to news. I'm waiting for the news itself. Then you won't care about this drift. | yogaboy
