22/6/2022 12:49 | China sends dozens of warplanes into skies near Taiwan By Brad Lendon and Wayne Chang, CNN Updated 0409 GMT (1209 HKT) June 22, 2022 My own view is that China is working out what facilities to target and exactly how many planes are needed in a short period to knock out most of the defense systems of Taiwan. They will follow up with ground troops later but will not want to destroy too much of the Taiwan economy. The United States is too involved in supplying weapons to Ukraine to dare attack China. China knows it needs to move whilst Russia wars in Ukraine. | noirua
18/6/2022 04:46 | If UVEL wins the case, is there any chance of getting the MTR contract reinstated? | knigel
18/6/2022 01:48 | If that's what happened, at least it bodes well for the upcoming court case - if the subcontractor screwed things up for uvel then the court is hardly going to find in their favour. We may even get some compensation: (from 4 Jan RNS) "The Company has separately been advised that it has a cross claim against T&P, inter alia, for breach of contract and non-performance and it intends to claim damages for the same." | zangdook

17/6/2022 14:28 | It does look as if the delay may have been caused by Univision choosing to appoint a subcontractor who failed to install at MTR's standard required leading to the work needing improvement - the latter was previously a subject of an RNS. MTR appears to have put the blame on Univision due to the contractor choice - most unfortunate. The court case put back to this coming September now becomes more crucial as the case appears to concern the same contractor I believe. Univision will now find themselves overstaffed from top to bottom - I'm not certain how Hong Kong Law stands on staff/ director redundancies. | noirua
17/6/2022 11:59 | Univision has announced that it has received formal notice this week of the termination of its contract with MTR Corporation Ltd, for the replacement works of the CCTV systems for MTRC's railway lines in Hong Kong, for alleged breach of contract; the Company contests this and continues to try and negotiate with MTRC to resolve the matter. This MTRC contract was awarded in May 2017, with an expected completion date of November 2023, but with subsequent contract add-ons, this had been expected to run until July 2024. The Group will be able to re-deploy resources from this contract to other projects to mitigate this reduction. The termination of the MTRC contract is effective from 20 June 2022, but the effect of this will not be immediately apparent as there is a time lag between works being completed and being certified and ultimately paid. | noirua
17/6/2022 11:10 | wow Not worth selling at 0.2p. The company was worth more than that before the MTR came along. I would quite like some more detail though. | zangdook
17/6/2022 11:06 | Dreadful - just dreadful - and no real warning although in some ways not surprising | knigel
06/6/2022 15:48 | You're right. My present smallholding is just 480,000 shares and I promise not to sell. This indicates the MMs hold little stock though small investors have about 150 million shares. Probably difficult to sell in quantity or to buy. | noirua
06/6/2022 15:02 | Can’t be much stock available if small trades are pushing the share price up | knigel

31/5/2022 10:52 | A bit more activity including some very small trades - not sure why they bother tbh! | knigel
31/5/2022 10:39 | Interesting, thanks. Where were they posted? | zangdook
31/5/2022 10:24 | There was quite a few new job vacancies at Uvel posted last / this week. Accounts, project administrators, project managers, software engineers, system engineers, field engineers.Update soon? | artoko
31/5/2022 08:51 | There is an outside possibility of Univision undertaking a reverse takeover bid allowing a larger company to get an AIM market quotation more easily. SK's efforts to unload a 50%+ interest in Univision has fallen on stony ground three times now. | noirua
19/5/2022 14:49 | Well there no point me selling now - although I am kicking myself about not having a stop loss in place - totally agree btw - either there’s no value here or the share is seriously undervalued - I know which I prefer! | knigel
19/5/2022 13:29 | Univision shares could well hit 0.25p again. On the other hand I would not rule out 2p either. The shares could be delisted from AIM but just as likely to find an additional market place. The shares if delisted would make it easier for SK to sell part of his holding without a bidder looking over his shoulder at the AIM market price. The court case looks to be just a distraction and annoyance to shareholders as we do not know if the case brought against Univision has any merit. Univision says not? Hidden behind all this is the real profitability of the rail contract and the fact Univision has not announced a single new contract for 15 months. This situation and no news on Leader Smart sits squarely with the company's Chairman. Though the CEO is in the driving seat but maybe the Chairman pulls the reins from the seat behind. Generally buck up SK you can do much better than this. Don't let it fall apart! | noirua
19/5/2022 12:49 | I'm not sure Simply Wall Street's robots have got much of a clue about Univision although they keep matters fully up to date. | noirua
19/5/2022 00:04 | I don't know why demerging a non-productive asset should damage trust. I don't have a problem with it but I guess if you need your bottom drawer for socks you may think differently. | zangdook
18/5/2022 17:56 | Probably more to do with the continuing covid restrictions than anything else plus lack of news! | knigel
18/5/2022 14:59 | I still wouldn't go anywhere near this, even if it hit my last entry point of 0.2p at the moment. The trust for Stephen Koo since the Leader Smart fiasco has diminished to zero. I wouldn't be surprised if it delists from UK eventually...maybe sooner than some may think. | jwoolley
18/5/2022 12:28 | What a stupid drop on such small volumes - never seems to happen the other way round | knigel |
