I recall looking at my holdings a decade or so ago and realising that I would have done better to have entirely invested in UU. Not quite true over the last decade and clearly not a sensible investment policy (Especially since the threat of renationalisation remains here in the long term to some extent) but you do sometimes wonder if better just to buy a load of trackers and investment funds and stop looking at the market.
I'm sure that I could give it up any time I wanted :-)

You sold too soon, or too late, i got 11.66 (honest!). I'm just tidying up, getting them out of my isa and hopefully buying them back to add to those in the wife's at a lower price. Bought at 6.37 in 2006, so not really day trading, or decade trading for that matter. Not great performance price wise, but add in the divis and i bet it's a pretty good return.

Looking at a possible range for coming 6mths. 900-1000? Slightly on low side as expected yield adjustment as rates rise?

The strike was £9. That means a full gain if on Friday the share price is £9 or above. I write the options. (A tax free yield to me).

Bullish options (for yield) expire this month. Strike 900p.
Expect to write more with a 6mth horizon; just need to settle the new strike at the end of the month.

Yes no nasty surprises. I see someone bought 570k shares at the close. I didn't quite hit my 1081 sell but just pushed the price up to 1099. Couple of broker upgrades in the pipeline I expect.
The long term risks remain political and will eventually resurface with next election but think I will worry about that later. The Sewage discharge issue is potentially an expensive one but would be reasonable to pass on to customers I suppose.

Might get my 1081 today. Seems a gentle upward momentum here recently.
