30/8/2020 12:11 | "All they need is a slight whiff of oil and the big guns will be there" To get that 'sniff of oil' they already are going to need a big gun to have farmed in, we won't be drilling it alone. | soulsauce
30/8/2020 12:04 | Weekend Review. Checked the chart again today it is looking very good. As they say the trend is your friend. (Even British Bulls charts are bullish). Lets see what next week brings. Slowly does it.... All they need in Jamaica is a slight whiff of oil and the big guns will be there. It is an area where the US teams can operate less restrictively and is more friendly. Ask yourself why did the ex Tullow team create UOG and keep hold of this prize. Even the data was transferred to UOG. It covers all of South Jamaica including Moonraker. Just give them time and better market conditions. Egypt is the current 'cash cow'. ES5 news next and a possible interview from BL on Proactive or VOX?? In my books RKH needed the cash fast, to fund something urgent, probably. Someone saw an opportunity and have flipped a few for that quick 10% gain or was it the introduction fee???? That is how City life goes. Still only 625m shares and a crazy low Mcap. Patience pays. In my books 5p is the next resistance target then upwards to 8p+. Lets see where this is at Xmas. Get in early for a nice New Year bonus, you do not get many opportunities like this one. As always DYOR. DDDD. | dandadandan
29/8/2020 06:53 | Something else to consider: Optiva increased their share price target to 17.7p on the 3rd Aug. Oil prices are up about 5% since then. Current price 3p. Massively undervalued but not for much longer imo. 20M volume yesterday. Remaining loose stock will soon be flushed out.hTTps://twitter. | parob
28/8/2020 20:00 | Suspect that Rockhopper needed the cash, so the sale of their stake now should not be deemed to be an indication of how things might/might not pan out in Jamaica. | mesquida
28/8/2020 19:46 | I'm in two minds about Jamaica. On the one hand why would Rockhopper sell down if good news was imminent (they had an insider on the Board) and on the other why did the institutions buy in if disappointing news was likely in the near term? Perhaps Rockhopper needed the cash asap and couldn't wait and at the same time the placees were told that good news was in the offing but some while off (and they were prepared to wait). One could speculate for ever.............! | fbrj
28/8/2020 19:39 | I would also be surprised if there was much "flipping" - which would be the last thing BL would want as it would dampen the share price. He would have emphasised that the placing should be into firm hands. If this was the intention and emphasised by the brokers to the placees (but it happened none the less) - then those placees should be at the bottom of the list next time around - not just for UOG. As I thought previously in a previous post (3237) it was not Rockhopper selling down - despite all the theories here and elsewhere. You have to remember, that UOG was held nearly 80% by PIs (or institutions holding less than 3%), prior to the Rockhopper placing. The Board only hold some 3% between them. That remains the case today: 80% held by PIs - we are fickle traders/holders to say the least! | fbrj
28/8/2020 19:13 | There have been several comments, here and elsewhere, about waiting for TR1 disclosures. I would be very surprised if there are more than a handful, possibly none. What are the main disclosure rules? Holding over 3% Going *through* a percentage point (eg 5.9 to 6.1) if over 3% already (obviously!) Issued share cap of UOG is 625.15m shares. 3% is 18.75m shares. Now have a look at the share transfers disclosed last night and today - how many over 18.75m? Answer: None! I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that each trade shown last night was a specific allocation (why do it in 2 or more tranches, unless 2 funds in same managed fund group?). So, to my mind, the only likely disclosures would be any holders previously holding less than 3%, who now hold over 3% following the placing yesterday and any purchases today. Also, the RNS refers to the "introduction" of (ie new) institutional investors. So I won't be holding my breath for TR1 disclosures ....obviously happy to be corrected by those expecting them! | fbrj
28/8/2020 15:27 | Give it time to settle down. Someone is probably flipping these for a quick 10% . Not looking at the bigger picture. Let's be seeing those TR1s. The chart trend line looks very good. (The trend is your friend..). DDDD | dandadandan
28/8/2020 14:30 | Well it was the wee man who constructed yesterday's RNS!!!! | hermana3
28/8/2020 13:39 | Thought there would be more enthusiasm on the buying side. Hopefully just needs a bit of time to wash through. Same thing happened in HZM recently which stalled after good news at a resistance point then broke out this week in a big way | mustbefunny
28/8/2020 10:27 | That's not an Institution then... | bobby1904
28/8/2020 10:14 | To put things in context, here's the share price chart re-scaled to show the current broker valuation (17.7p) attributed to UOG. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | someuwin
28/8/2020 10:02 | Hopefully given the issues we have had, the company may have been a bit more circumspect with who have been placed with the shares. | soulsauce
28/8/2020 09:57 | Some of the institutional investors may be bucket shops looking to flog them on for a quick 10% | mustbefunny
28/8/2020 09:39 | The shares have been transferred at 2.66p and hopefully in to sticky hands but from 2.66p they are still making a nice turn if they do decide to sell some. It may take a day or so to settle down. | soulsauce
28/8/2020 09:38 | Correct. Seller(s) still there too. Where have 8m odd shares come from today? Usually the volume is naff. | jason_scrap
28/8/2020 09:24 | Yesterday's RNS stated that 'following an investor roadshow undertaken by management "in recent days", United confirms that via its Brokers it has placed the Consideration Shares with a small number of institutional investors and one private investor.' So if Rockhopper's consideration shares were only moved in recent days, surely they weren't the persistent seller/sellers over recent months. Or am I missing something? | lcwanderer
28/8/2020 09:23 | Hopefully the PI is not Chris Oil, are we sure the seller(s) has gone? | 90005nelson

28/8/2020 08:44 | Congrats to all involved in getting the RKH shares placed in these uncertain times. Wonder who the one PI is? | xxnjr |
