26/10/2020 18:27 | Hi lageraemia. I don't know in which direction the B-1 well is being deviated, but that diagram on share price Angel's note is now wildly out of date, as well as probably being completely wrong. It's the B-1 well that's being deviated, according to the OGA (Oil & Gas Authority, and they ought to know. | greypanther2
26/10/2020 17:38 | if the deviation is to the south-east, then that's away from WN A site (2.5 km away) and would be a bigger step out for the appraisal. The schematic on this share price Angel (spit! Pah!) broker note has the WN B1 well as more or less vertical, with the B2 well lateralising in the Kirkham Abbey formation: hxxp://unionjackoil. | lageraemia
26/10/2020 14:24 | Thanks Currypasty for the useful information about the B-1 well on the OGA’s website. In summary it's saying that B-1 will be a deviated well with a planned TD at 2,058 metres below sea level, and at 2,316 metres measured depth below the rig floor, which is at 19.6m above sea level. From these figures you can, if you are so inclined, calculate that the average deviation for the well will be slightly more than 26 degrees from the surface, and that the offset will be about 1,020 metres. This seems to be quite a long way to me. They didn’t actually say in which direction the well was to be deviated. | greypanther2

26/10/2020 13:03 | Of the two wells B1 and B2 , one was planned to be deviated , I'm not sure which one. | bionicdog
26/10/2020 12:56 | to explain the above, its from the oil and gas authority basically TVDSS 2316 meters but of interest is that's its described as 'deviated' | currypasty

26/10/2020 09:18 | Sachin Oza did say in that brrmedia podcast that they would be logging and evaluating as the drilling was proceeding, so you never know might get an update shortly?!! | grannyboy
26/10/2020 09:12 | Anyone got thoughts on the reports of wirelining the borehole over the weekend? Timescale is pretty quick, but then again no quicker than some offshore exploration wells, and they are drilling into well understood geology I suppose. | lageraemia

25/10/2020 13:50 | Some possibly helpful info from Reabold's LSE board: "My mate certainly doesn't work for Rathlin, but he has a lot of geological and other experience of exploration in Yorkshire. His take on what's going on at the moment was that we are most likely about to set the 9 5/8” casing at the top of the Zechstein section, probably in the Roxby Formation, which consists of mudstone and / or shale in this part of the world. Also, It wouldn't be out of the question for some logging to take place first at this depth. Having probably just drilled through about 500 metres of Sherwood Sandstone, which he said can be hard going, Rathlin will want to get information about the hole size / volume so they can determine how much cement must be pumped to get a reliable casing job. He suggested that currently they would probably be at about 1,500 to 1,600 metres, but not to forget it could be a deviated well. Two wells were originally planned for the B site, but only one of them is likely be a vertical appraisal well. The other will presumably be deviated, but which one, he wasn't sure. He thought B-1 was quite likely to be deviated in order to maximise Rathlin's geological information away from the A site as soon as possible." | greypanther2

Fabulous updates from Roofer Hound today and I spy that Wireline loggin unit. What are they logging ? The Gas is very significant here in my mind. So much going on around the region with Drax and Equinor etc. giving it some with a Zero Carbon Humber. Amazing what they are going to be capable of with Gas in to Hydrogen, which burns less CO2. Hydrogen stored bottom of the sea in salt capsules in summer for winter . Now Rathlin happened to have Drax an equinor at the bottom of their Rathlin online consultation...so i conclude I am on the right lines with the Gas here. Also... Aldbrough is nearby . And another one is brewing at Keadby 2 Project. I am pretty. convinced Dave will not struggle to sell the Gas side of what we find. Angus just done a deal , agreement for the Sale and Purchase of Natural Gas from Saltfleetby. Now the Oil would be a Brucey. Next week exciting stuff. Wressle November production so thats great. Biscathorpe..very exciting too. I look at the sysmics an info. Something about step out bit is thicker. I am sure Mr Bull has nailed that side track and we will hear soon. Plus some jiggerdey poker to come with Holdings. UJO will but more Egdon. That's my guess. Anyways ... off for a run now. November is going to be the one we have all been waiting for. 2p/3p ? .... Lookin' Good imo. | markfrankie

23/10/2020 10:42 | likeawalrus, you are probably right, but the last rns from egdon clearly stated "update as works progress", not update once producing.. they have to be accurate in RNS's | currypasty |
