06/12/2024 15:32 | SCE will not be doing the NAV any favours! | toffeeman
27/3/2024 07:09 | Well.. That's true. The tax relief and tax free dividends do provide a decent buffer. But I still hope/ expect that we get a bounce back in UK small caps this year. | bagpuss67
25/3/2024 20:58 | So you paid £42 and they are worth £50, sound! | toffeeman
25/3/2024 20:18 | Wife and I put £60k in here recently only to see it now worth £50k (before tax relief of £18k)...could do with that small cap rebound arriving soon! | bagpuss67
17/2/2024 11:09 | Looks like the top holding here isn't even listed let alone on AIM. | bagpuss67
14/2/2024 19:23 | I am semi-retired so can't put much into a SIPP. After ISA and SIPP exhaustion, VCTs are OK at the margin to reduce higher rate tax on pensions and investment income etc. | topvest
14/2/2024 18:32 | My error - you are correct | toffeeman
14/2/2024 12:50 | The 3m relates to poeple who wanted the divi reinventment scheme? | bagpuss67
14/2/2024 12:49 | The Directors of the Company are pleased to announce that on the basis of subscription forms received as at 15.00 Thursday 8 February 2024 and assuming that they are all accepted, the initial £15 million Offer is now fully subscribed. | bagpuss67
14/2/2024 12:43 | Raised less than 3.5m out of target 15m. | toffeeman
13/2/2024 18:10 | Haha. Yes. What a sorry state of affairs on those stocks and I'm being a sucker for AIM punishment getting a load of these. Just praying for a small cap revival in 24 at some point. | bagpuss67
13/2/2024 11:13 | Hi Bagpuss Must stop meeting like this UAV SCE AGL! Seriously though I am not a big earner but have bought UAV in the past to get the 30% tax rebate as I was at the LTA limit in my SIPP. Now however any spare dosh will go into my SIPP for a 40% rebate. | toffeeman
13/2/2024 07:33 | Surprised no fully subscribed update? | bagpuss67
11/2/2024 15:59 | And wife over lifetime allowance | bagpuss67
11/2/2024 15:58 | The tapered annual allowance further limits the amount of tax relief high earners can claim on their pension savings by reducing their annual allowance to as low as £10,000. This reduced allowance could change from tax year to tax year depending on your income. | bagpuss67
11/2/2024 14:34 | And another 60 for the husband | toffeeman
11/2/2024 10:54 | If you are only able to invest 10k pa in your SIPP | bagpuss67
09/2/2024 17:36 | Why would you buy a VCT when you can get 40 or 45% tax rebate on a SIPP at the moment? | toffeeman
09/2/2024 14:56 | Well I have subscribed to the offer today. I phoned-up to check following yesterday's surprise RNS and they are already £3m through the over-allotment facility. The offer only opened on the 8th...i.e. yesterday. It's very surprising that the share price is where it is, with this much demand. The whole offer may well be fully subscribed in a couple of days! It really does beg the question whether you should hold these VCT investments at bid or NAV in your portfolio. | topvest
12/8/2022 06:49 | Massive increase in the number of shares being issued for the dividend reinvestment scheme to over 4million. Last year it was only 160,000. Partly explained by lower NAV and higher divi (3p last year compared to 35p this year). With such a large divi plus the drop in NAV it made sense to take advantage of divi reinvestment, which is what I have done for the first time. | gbcol
18/7/2022 08:19 | Ah - now that clears it up thanks! Any views on Hasgrove? | toffeeman
18/7/2022 08:16 | It’s 3p & 32p. “Following the sale of Interactive the Board has decided to distribute the entire realised gain by way of a Special Dividend of 32.0 pence per share alongside the interim dividend of 3.0 pence per share. This interim dividend and the special interim dividend will be paid on 11 August 2022 to Shareholders on the register on 15 July 2022. The shares will be quoted ex-dividend on 14 July 2022.” | gbcol
18/7/2022 07:18 | I thought div was about 8p - where did you see 35? | toffeeman |
