paulisi: Good news and the price should start to drift back up now.
apollocreed1: I spoke to a manager who works at the company, and he believes they are increasing revenue by offering contracts at below cost price, and also giving discounts for pre-payments before completion. That's why revenue is up but profit is down. His complaint is that the senior management are finance people who are interested in hitting short-term targets that increase bonuses at the expense of quality products. So he expects they will lose customers in the long-term. The other thing he says are that the share bonuses and options exercised are all processed on the first Wednesday of every month, so there is purposely strong buying activity on the market on the day of the results (to be honest I don't really understand what he meant by this but I'm just passing it on).
wattene: Government Petition to Ban shorting of London AIM stocks. The AIM stock market is where smaller companies list their shares rather than using the prohibitively expensive main London Stock Market. This is an important market for the growth of smaller UK companies. In challenging times, shorters seek to borrow the company's shares from a holder for a consideration and to buy them at a later date. They immediately sell these shares which, due to the relative illiquid market, sends the price much lower and hence the shorters can buy them at that lower price - pocketing the difference. The only beneficiaries are the shorters and the market makers with the losers being the reputable company and it's bona fide investors. hTTps://
