Why invoke dark deeds from MMs to explain price movement?

The most obvious reason to explain falls is because people sold - as has happened this morning. And when people buy, price goes up!

As for RNSs following price falls, don't you think it's more likely that the BoD wants to maintain positive sentiment, so takes a price fall as evidence of their need to issue a positive RNS (if they can!)?

Peter--Agree-Holding well I have seen some shares go down in similar situations and the further they fall they greater they have to rise to get a bigger profit--so I am well satisfied with OUR share price at present. GLA

Gismo agreed, all the twits come out to play when a stock is vulnerable , or perceived to be so by them. With no update on BB i expect it will continue, we just need to keep our chins up, and stay calm. No one really knows the truth about what UKOG team are up to or where they are at at this present time. Yes i do agree the MM's do get a small window of heads up but feel it is only a matter of a couple of hours perhaps, and even then they do not know the content of the RNS till its released.

Till then we can only sit and wait and hope its good news, Good luck all

PS The one thing that we can hold on to and that is factual is that this period of consolidation can only be good if it is good news. And that the share price has held up very well considering the un certainty with no update.

I remember going to Seville, it was unbearable but I loved the city. I'm sure all will be well here soon, these games are being played before the real news hits, it's happened before. Still renovating and unpacking here, finding things I never thought I had and losing everything I need! lol As for There I have no idea why he's picking on me but there you go! lol it takes all sorts on these boards. Gismo---Everything OK although disappointed with amount of rain!! We had a little on Friday last and yesterday, most of the rain skirted around us---up to Seville and Valencia areas---now back to sunshine and cooler--around 26!! Hope the sun shines on US here on UKOG SOON!!! Hope alls well with you and I think we will ignore Therealideal unless he has something constructive to say re UKOG??

A short position poster who is attempting to sway opinion to create a false market by scaring shareholders to sell in an attempt to profit from that endeavour.

It's almost as if you are paid to defend MM'S.

The daily chart suggests this has further to fall but price has been very resilient over the past two weeks, consolidating around 7.2 while working off the overbought conditions from late July. There is no inevitability about a fall but the longer the well preparation goes on, the more inclined it will be to drift, in my view.

It always amuses me how the shorters arrive just as the mm's do a tree shake. It makes you wonder if they are paid to frequent these boards!

I tend to just flick through their ramblings and only engage with fellow shareholders, it makes the experience far more rewarding in my experience.

@amr you think MM have access to RNSs before they are public and trade on this inside info? You have lost it. I think your comment about oil rushing up making a seismic event was probably more likely.

Despite what you all think MM do a decent honest job and very rarely take much of a position. They try to keep their book flat and make a spread in so doing. If they get hit with too much stock they offer it back to the market lower and that's what drives prices.

There is some spooking going on with the shorters playing the line that a running commentary is missing as if it should be given. lf anybody knows, how many intervals are being prepared for sampling and how long does it take typically to prepare each sampling point? Sorry to those who have been spooked and bailed, good luck elsewhere.
