19/6/2018 22:40 | I don't see the likes of Quuppa as a large threat. a) Ubisense are transitioning to a software led business with hardware being lower margin. b) They want their software to take data from any source - probably including 3rd party location hardware like Quuppa. From 2017 results: "SmartSpace solutions are based on a modular software platform that manages real-time location and identification DATA FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES to support industrial-scale, mission-critical visibility and control applications." "What we are doing … Now Continue to invest in the product roadmap across both sides of the business, adding enterprise capabilities such as analytics and reporting, deeper integration with THIRD-PARTY HARDWARE and enhancing geomobility. This will enable our enterprise platforms to be truly capable of taking DATA FROM ANY SOURCE and offer real-time visibility and insight" Interestingly Ubisense have CGI in the 2017 results as a partner and both CGI and Quuppa are involved with Lufthansa. Siemens is a different matter overall as they are a Goliath in Industrial. | p1nkfish
19/6/2018 21:43 | £10.7M of 2017 revenue was 3rd party Geospatial expected to run-off 2018 and be replaced by higher margin own product. So far there has been £4M new announced today for 2018 and £10.7M from NEC over 3 years (probably not linear) so say 2M, 3M, 5M as a guess. In other words, as half-time approaches, they are about 60% of the way there. "We expect that the run-off of legacy third party services revenues will largely complete over the course of 2018, following which our results should better reflect the growth we are targeting in our own products, and as the proportion of third party services revenue in our mix declines, our gross margin will also naturally increase." | p1nkfish
19/6/2018 12:40 | It needs to be 70p+ for 90 consecutive days for management options to kick-in. This is the new norm imho, > 70p, and moving higher as margins are shown to be increasing with diversification of markets and geographies served - myworld brought into Europe. No going back. | p1nkfish
19/6/2018 12:13 | "We look forward to working with our new customer in this space for MANY YEARS to come." Many should mean more than 2, it's an excellent contract win. High probability of recurring revenue. Breakeven can't be too far off and that changes everything as growth + profit (higher margins too) + innovation are fuel to the fire. Today is £8M over 2 years and more if over "MANY YEARS". What multiple of revenue are others valued at in IIOT space? Apply that and get a feel for the potential upside and I would still expect something out of Japan and myworld in Europe. This journey is just beginning. | p1nkfish
19/6/2018 11:36 | gersemi: its had its ups and downs recently however has some quality offerings to its markets. Material contract announced today and prospects look positive. Given me a nice return now. Another nice company you may wish to look at is TPG a long term recovery play (not ramping I know you are also in many of my own holdings). | catch007
19/6/2018 08:34 | Nice contract | the big fella
19/6/2018 07:16 | An interesting company | gersemi
19/6/2018 03:18 | Japanese PR, 19/6 - Translate in Chrome. Good RTLS interview. 31/5 - PR showing CEO in Japan for NEC announcement, At least I think it's in Japan. It says NEC deal was signed in April. Targeting about £10.2M sales over 3 years. Makes me wonder if more Japanese news is due? They have a hell of a lot of manufacturing there (RTLS) and need for natural disaster prep (myworld) and the CEO was probably over there. If he's a salesman he would have met OEMs whilst there and not just NEC but RTLS people too = potential business = potential news. | p1nkfish
17/6/2018 15:59 | A hint for one of them. BLZ Mr thereof. No herd there too, yet, cheap as chips and due to rocket. 400% upside very possible. | p1nkfish
17/6/2018 15:55 | Kestrel won't hand over until it suits, like KBC where I also made excellent $. There are others I'm accumulating (4) but don't look for the posts as you will be disappointed. | p1nkfish
17/6/2018 15:52 | You are a bit of a weirdo she-ra My average price is very, very attractive. I was buying in volume when no one else was interested. You are late comer, probably lacking imagination. Don't mistake exploring a market for talking down an investment. I do my own SWOTS and post some findings, not all though. Enjoy being late. | p1nkfish
17/6/2018 15:05 | P1nkfish - Nice attempt at trying to sow the seeds of doubt in Ubisense investors minds. You're not as subtle as you think. I suppose you've got to try and get these lower to get back in since your investment in Igas has gone down 30% since you recommended people switch to it from Ubisense. Like I said you're a gambler with sellers remorse. As for your last few posts, I think you will find that Ubisense has strengthened some of their relationships with the 9 of the 10 leading car manufacturers in the world they have contracts with. I suppose the worry for you is if a large IT company comes in and snaps up Ubisense or one of its two divisions for a massive premium. I just wonder if Kestrel has been approached for their 25% stake. | she-ra
17/6/2018 13:37 | Nests + Quuppa look like decent competitors. | p1nkfish
17/6/2018 13:26 | It makes massive sense for Ubi factory software to handle every possible input for location from whatever source. Quuppa could even be worth partnering with. Can only find details of one Quuppa funding round, might make a bolt-on target if valuation is reasonable. Is there anyone here able to throw light on anything in the market? It is becoming crowded in terms of the number of competing systems available. | p1nkfish
17/6/2018 13:22 | Quuppa say best indoor positioning on the planet, no idea who has that opinion so probably just marketing B.S.. Their meet-up. | p1nkfish
17/6/2018 13:07 | Gartner, Quuppa comparisons to Ubi are interesting. Still no herd of posters here, a good sign. Ubi move to software is sensible as the hardware side is becoming crowded. The more agnostic to the input source the software is the better. Siemens hardware looks clunky but worrisome as they have the clout on entire systems, not just RTLS and digital twin. | p1nkfish
17/6/2018 12:54 | The Siemens move is interesting. Still listed as a partner but now head-head after Agilion buy and focus on Digital Twins Interesting to see where Decawave involvement goes. Basic interesting video - | p1nkfish
11/6/2018 17:56 | You are silly she-ra. | p1nkfish
11/6/2018 16:35 | You clawed back your losses on Ubisense and sold. You're a gambler who was desperate and got lucky. Move on and forget about Ubisense. Sellers remorse wont be useful to you. | she-ra
11/6/2018 16:28 | I always expect turbulence and my expectation is rarely disappointed. | p1nkfish
11/6/2018 15:34 | I don't expect any turbulence. It will continue to climb IMHO. This company leads in most areas it operates in. And it operate in growing markets. I see a company like Honeywell or Siemens swooping on Ubisense and I expect a big premium. | she-ra
08/6/2018 17:36 | Very probable it will take a breather and might be a little turbulent but it is heading much higher imho. NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation (NESIC) - Japanese partnership now Japan rationalised and SmsrtSpace meet-up has Cap Gemini and Wipro speaking on Siemens doorstep. Cap have won some interesting business (may not involve UBI) for digital transformation and a very useful collaboration potential, as is Wipro. Expect news that makes a difference between now and year end. | p1nkfish
07/6/2018 22:01 | Take a look at how many of these UBI ride and are on way up - digital twin, lot platform, smart robots + others. Peak ahead. | p1nkfish
07/6/2018 17:32 | O/t, igas moving. Recovery. | p1nkfish
31/5/2018 17:06 | Off Topic but another in recovery is IGAS. | p1nkfish |
