Hi Hybrasil - you did well keeping the powder dry for so long. The current level does look like a classic for a reversal; and it is comforting for the stale bulls to see the well-respected Miton pitching up...and now increasing.

The Finals will be in just 3weeks time; and it is very difficult to imagine that we will see anything other than good news when one reads through the many disposal updates. So, wWith the prospective end Feb'16 NAV discount anything in the range of 35%-39%, UAI has to be viewed as a good recovery play.

I have been following this since you mentioned it but my toe is still dry.

I really respect Mr Williams of Miton so I am thinking of putting on the togs

I hope I'm not being too optimistic, but the chart would appear to show that the bottom might be in. I wish I had the nerve to buy more.

MRF - a turn? In UAI? Well done you - good to see someone made a small turn out of that bounce. I sold my last small top-up into that bounce, but because of the Stamp Duty only scalped 89p!!! Ah well, pleased to contribute my bit to the Old Country's coffers....

The only 'spike' you get here is the sort that Corporal Jones didn't like.

Trading Statement + Special Dividend was announced on 24 Feb last year so they are keeping their cards closer to their chest on both these this year. Only saving grace would appear to be that any disappointments that might emerge should at least be partially priced in already.

Hmm - wish I had!

The main reason for the fall would appear to be the selling down of the BlackRock holding - possibly now gone.

Another reason could be the incredibly childish and oh so '90s rebranding, modish offices and working arrangements; I assume that is all down to Richard Upton - Michael Marx must be so concerned at how his Company has been hijacked.

Still, under the bonnet the Work in Progress is flowing through, so those profits and assets will have been rising since the Interims.

Whether they manage to make 300p is now irrelevant; as even at 290p the discount would be a generous 36% at today's again drifting 186p.

I've done trying to figure it - will just hold and see what those stats at the end of April reveal. In the past we've seen good bounces on the Figures confounding the pessimists. Hopefully it will be Groundhog Day in a month's time...

I got out last November at a small loss having tired of the lack of progress.
I just had a look today to see several profitable deals but the shares down to 185P with an asset value of about 274P.
Is it all smoke and mirrors or has the market got it wrong?
It should be wonderful value at 185P but I think I will wait for the year end results

Yupa - thnx for that - good find; and a very high profile project for UAI to win.

eeza - That closing auction sale on Friday was for 2.73m (2.2%) @ 193.5p. IMO odds on that was the final departure of BlackRock.

Another false rise which will be smashed back down to £1.70p region, the property bubble especially in London will burst this year with tragic consequences here.

Blackrock,Soros and Aberdeen are well ahead of the mug punters and bad gamblers here, swallow your pride or lose all.

The Gambler.
