Well I might have liked to reinvest, except HL yet again failing to credit the dividend before close, no doubt enjoying extended agency over all that cash on deposit for their own benefit. If SMIF opens higher next week that will really grate.

Considering backing NCYF again which I quit at 56.5p, may have bottomed now. It trades at a healthy premium to NAV, like SMIF used to, which gives it the scope to take advantage of opportunities, like SMIF used to. A >9% yield over asymmetric quarters. Diversifying or diluting returns do you think?

Rothsy sub-debt is IIRC the second largest position in SMIF

2.09% of the fund

If Gove does manages to reset all residential ground rents to zero, that will seriously hurt Rothsy Life who've got a massive exposure to resi ground rents Rothsy sub-debt is IIRC the second largest position in SMIF One to watch out for - IMO they won't reset existing rents to zero but will still likely put a lot of pain onto freeholders

Big payday tomorrow. I wonder to what extent folks will reinvest the proceeds to compound their good fortune, might give the share price a boost on top of today's cheer that everyone (apart from Bailey perhaps) is seeing that interest rates have probably peaked.

Wonder if it'll be possible to reinvest the divi at these gift horse levels this week.

Yes Taylor. I moved my accounts to ii several years ago. Mostly ok, but Barclays managed to lose my largest holding and I had trouble getting them to believe me when I complained. I was paid a token amount in compensation. Barclays once had all my business but when they introduced their Master Investor (sic, whatever ) product they went from best to worst overnight.?

Thank you for replies. It's much as I thought really, I directly asked are they making interest on my money, to which they denied. As interest rates are increasing most dividend payments are received later ! Has anyone ever transferred their ISA from Barclays to another supplier?

HL and AJB both paid on 6th and SMIF paid out on 6th. Current overnight rates incentivise late payment. Ask for interest

Is there any reason why my stockbroker (bank) still haven't paid this dividend yet when others received theirs a week ago. They're always waiting to receive funds from the Custodians ? Do other brokers pay clients dividends before they receive the money ?

Have investors received the most recent dividend payment ? Usually paid to my account ding done on the bell. However, recently this and other dividend payments stretched out, still paid within 10 days. Is someone else benefitting interest wise by paying late ?

Wow, so let's have a return to trading at a premium then. A double-edged sword though, it will mean a hefty ex-div drop.

1.87p Final Dividend. Impressive, better than I thought it would be.

Yield almost 10% based on 7.37p dividends over the year.

SMIF in a good place running up to a final dividend of more than 1.5p we have the BoE putting underlying NAV into recovery.

Personally I wouldn't be too concerned about the managers leaving with regard to SMIF. It's not hard to understand this type of fixed interest. It's not specialised.

If you are in TFIF it might be a concern. That's more specialised.

For the record I hold neither.

I see that founder-managers are retiring:

Should we be concerned (e.g. time to sell out)?

A final of 1.5p would be very nice indeed.
